I also take Relpax for my migraines. Triptans are the only meds that work for me & of those I've tried, Relpax is the quickest acting & longest lasting. I don't workout when I have a migraine. It's hard enough to get out of bed with them, so jostling myself around would not be good, & the Relpax sucks any semblance of…

Wow, I'd never heard that weight loss could impact the gallbladder, but I did start having issues with mine after losing weight. FWIW, if I could go back I wouldn't have had it out. I still have many of the same issues & it's very rare that I can eat anything without getting sick, though there are no more attacks. My…

Thanks to everyone who responded. I was finally able to find interval settings in RunKeeper. In case anyone is as dopey as I am, you can add it in for Android under Start > Tap "Workout" > Create New Workout. I put in the intervals for C25K week 1 & will give it a try tonight with music playing in the background. I hope…

Saving for later, thanks!

Absolutely. My freshman year of college I lost 30 lbs with the same crappy diet (read: french fries, all day, every day) just by walking around an hour a day several times per week :)

Ellen Barrett's Pick Your Spot Pilates - Thighs. Mine are still big but they have stopped jiggling in a matter of weeks

I swore I'd never do Zumba. I don't dance - ever - & the videos were a total disaster for me. I just couldn't get the moves. Then a friend dragged me to a class & I am in love! I continued to be a disaster the first few classes, & every time I have a new instructor or they do new routines, but it's so much fun. If I start…

I love pilates. It, along with cardio, kicked my *kitten* into shape a few years ago & I'm now using both again to get back into shape. I do a 45 min. pilates class 1x/week & 20-40 mins of a pilates video another time a week, then do cardio 2-4 x/week. I've only been to 4 pilates classes but I am already feeling stronger,…

Pilates is great for it. I like Ellen Barrett's Pick Your Spot Pilates, & one from ExerciseTV (RIP). When you've built up your core strength, P90X ab ripper x is incredible. I look forward to being in shape enough to tackle that again!

It's fun! I've only done the first two, but I like them so much better than the Shred, which I've never made it past level 1 on. Mine came without the tutorial, though (Amazon download... gr.) so it's tough to figure the moves out, but I do like it as a means of shaking up my normal gym routine

Do they have classes or just machines? When I was just using machines, I tried to use at least three machines a week to keep my mind & my body from getting bored. I tend to like the arc trainer, AMT machine, elliptical, & occasionally the bike-- but I don't know your preferences :) However, what's *really* helped me stay…

I have a "Kindle Keyboard" (& have a Fire on preorder) & adore it. I take it everywhere with me; my SO is even jealous of the attention I give it =P. You just can't beat Amazon's customer service, & with the new releases there are Kindles for every taste.

People here have had great results with the 30DS. I really tried to stick it out this time, but I just can't do the same workout for 10 days. Boring.

My old apartment had an upstairs & downstairs with creaky hardwoods. My boyfriend would complain whenever I did the 30DS upstairs, b/c it would rattle & thump downstairs. I tried doing the jumps on my yoga mat to reduce it, but it wasn't all that effective.

I've started watching the Biggest Loser on my iPod touch while walking on the treadmill. I walk for 28 minutes, which is about 1/3rd of an episode. It distracts me from watching the time, and when I want to quit, watching people who sometimes weigh more than 300 lbs more than me give it their all is incredibly motivating…

Congratulations! For me, every weekend is 'off,' and I plan for that. I just want to relax & enjoy myself on the weekends, & not worry about calories. If it takes me a little longer to get there, so be it, cause I'm enjoying myself!

Adding this to my wishlist :) Thanks for all your help!

A personal trainer in a box, not a bad idea! Do they guide you through the entire workout? It's been a while, but if I remember correctly the Wii fit exercises were "choose this one, do the moves, grab your remote, choose another move" & I didn't like that. Thanks for reviewing it for us!

Congratulations!! :)

Awesome!

I knew that was the case, but wow-- the girl at 4'11", 130 looks WAY better than I do at 4'11", 135. All that did was depress me & curse my fat belly lol

I'm only doing it once per day (thanks for making me feel like a slacker!). After days 1 & 2 I waddled around the office, could not reach the floor to pick up what my cat knocked over, & *****ed every time I had to move. Yesterday I did day 3 & the soreness has dulled considerably-- I can touch the floor agin :)

I love Ellen Barrett's Crunch Pick Your Spot Pilates. There are 4 10-minute videos: abs, thighs, butt, and total body. The thighs and butt ones are my absolute favorites, & I've always seen great results from these videos.

I love Kashi, particularly the Crunch & Crispy, I think it is? It's very filling & has a nice, satisfying crunch.

If it helps, you're not alone. I manage to get ~5 out & spend the rest of the time splayed on the floor. I find that it really hurts my wrists- like a sharp pain. Any advice?
