Yeah, sorry about the PTSD. My brother has it. But he tackles that with alcohol instead of food. I am/was the emotional eater of the family but I'm fairly better with it now.

The scale will go up when you weight train, mostly from water being stored in your muscles. But it will drop eventually.

Stretch marks are mostly scar tissue. Do they go away? Not really. They may lessen in intensity. They have surgeries of course, but you're trading one scar for another. Just think of yourself as a tiger whose earned her stripes. Everyone has them anyway. Will your skin be flabby? That's partly age, genetics, and bf%, iirc.

i love it, and its good for you. food is good for you. yum.

I weigh daily so that I can track how sodium affects my body and see if I need to up my water intake. Also, to graph the weight b/c anal retentive-esque behavior. But I measure weekly.

If you're doing the MFP method of things, then you need to eat back your exercise calories. However, for certain things MFP overestimates calorie burn, so you should maybe eat about 1/2-2/3s of them back.

Well, I'm a shorty clocking in at somewhere between 5'1 and 5'1 and I eat b/w 1600 and 1800 cals on days that I work out. Less on others of course.

26-100 calories is really negligible, and could simply be the difference of not putting jam on your toast or not. But I would choose a less aggressive weight loss goal than 2 lbs a week.
-
Nah, they don't exercise at all usually. The superskinnys typically drink their calories, or eat at huge deficits.
-
How much do you want to lose and what do you have your weight loss goal set at? Something tells me you checked off that you were sedentary and wanted to lose 2 lbs a week...
-
Yeah, McAllen Texas really does get the short end of the stick. I like the whole "You eat 46 lbs of sugar a month." *pours sugar on a table* type spiel. I think that the one good factor about this show is that they address being underweight for once.

No, no. No. *shudders* Mediterranean food is great, just not that.

Stuffed grape leaves.

Probably just not used to it. I haven't used an inhaler in about 5 years. I can only imagine how I would feel after using it.
-
5'1. Small frame apparently (6in wrist) and it says 110 is my ideal, which is about where I was before. So yeah I guess it fits my goal.
-
If you're doing the TDEE method, you do not eat back exercise calories.
-
Carbs don't really matter unless you need to stay under a certain amount for whatever reason... If you're solely looking at weight loss, it's just about calories in vs calories out. Macros are a different story.

added you ~

mm. Just eat the grits.

Honestly, people can lose weight without working out at all so 30 minutes to the cause, in my opinion is great. But why would you need to cut junk food, soda, coffee and fast food? Now if these are foods that you know you can't have moderately, I understand. I no longer buy 12 packs of soda because I will drink the whole…

congrats on making the change!

I think paleo is stupid and I can only imagine what South Beach is. It's really just a matter of in vs out and it has to be most sustainable for your life and health needs. Don't fall for gimmicks.
-
Um. You seem to be very underweight, my dear. Even at 5'1, the lowest I could go in terms of BMI would be around 98 pounds to still be healthy.
-
I'm 5'1 with a six inch wrist. I totally get what you mean when you talk about how one pound can make a difference on small people. :9

I'm just outside of Asheville. Originally from Maryland though.

I second the puking.

I've been eating kale since I was a wee lass. I find it to be amazing. However, it is very bitter and tough unless you know that it should be cooked with some sort of smoked, salty meat, and only harvested freshly after a morning frost has hit it. All these paleo/clean eating recipes are ruining kale's reputation.

Carbs 160 / Fat 53 / Protein 120. I think I have my macros set to 40/30/30. But out of the past 10 days, I've only eaten over that about 2 times.

I gave up caffeinated fizzy stuff and coffee. I enjoy tea every now and again, but I gave up because on some days I would literally drink 2k calories of soda and nothing else. I try to enjoy some decaf every now and again but once I add all the creamer and sugar I like there's not much point.

they once scratched their butt crack in public and smelled it.
