So, tonight I got on the treadmill and ran/walked for 30 minutes, drank my goal of water today and ate pretty heatlhy. Day 1 success!

If I could just go for a walk for 30 minutes and drink my two bottles of water each day while at work, I would be halfway there! It's just doing it!
-
Mine is pop again. I was off of it for quite some time, now trying to get back to one 12 oz can a day then none by replacing it with water and some green tea.

I need the motivation as well! I would love to join you! Awesome job on your 25# weight loss! You can do it! We all can, we just need that drive to keep us going.

Today, I began back again where I had worked so hard a year ago to accomplish. I am back 25 pounds heavier, have not ran in six months and feel terrible about myself. But today, I stepped on the treadmill, ran a little, drank my water goal, kept below my calories for the day and took care of me...

kishstl..congrats on wanting to ride with your wife, that is awesome! Wish my husband would ride wiht me but the only thing he wants to do is workout in the gym...my son will run 5k's with me but he blows me away and waits on me at the finish line. He can run them in 21 min. Add an extra 10 minutes to that and that is when…

njfitnessmom, thank you! I never thought about swapping the tires...that might help...I too think I could ride an entrylevel bike for a few years and be fine. Maybe upgrade when I see what I really want to do...

Thanks cwolfman13, I have been running for over a year and a 5k every weekend, just my motivation to get out there and run, lift weights two days a week in the gym but at a careful progression and limits, so I promise I won't jump in too fast too much and our rides were at a leisure pace last week. The group is awesome…

Yesterday, I got in my 15 mile bike ride, I was hoping for 10 but made it 15. That gives me 43 miles this week on my bike and a 3 mile run...Tonight, is workout night at the gym, no leg exercises just core and upper body...

I am new to the cycling sport, I typically run but giving this a try for a change and I might want to try a beginners triathalon. So here goes: March 8- rode 8 miles March 11 rode 15 miles March 15 rode 13 miles ...supposed to ride tomorrow for another 10 hours. I just now noticed my typo...miles not hours...10 miles…

5k yesterday, 13 miles on my bike today...looking like another 10 miles on my bike tomorrow...

No matter what you are doing, as long as you are up and moving, that is a perfect start. Whether it be playing catch in the yard, a bike ride around the block, a walk at the park, you are moving. It starts there...Keep going! It is spring and time to get out and move, go to Walmart, buy a kite and take them to the…

Keep going! This is a great group of people who for the most part with the exception of a few negative nellies are the best people you will find in trying to lose weight, get healthy and feel better about yourself. I too hated what I saw when i looked in the mirror and I got proactive about it. I would get discouraged…

I prefer to be alone, sometimes if I go with someone, they expect you to "workout with them" which I feel is impossible for me. I just do my own thing and own it! :) But I am an independent person so it doesn't bother me. I have to drive past the gym on my way home so no excuses for me. Today, I wanted so badly to take a…

This is a great app, if you use it daily! With that said, it is great all the time but if you do not log your calories and exercise to hold yourself accountable, it really doesn't do you any good. I love this app and it has changed me dramatically! I have lost almost 30 pounds recording my weight and food intake since…

No I have no information, but I want to say that I admire you! Running a 10k is my goal this year as I ran several 5k's last year but hope to at least run one 10k...good luck and keep us posted how it goes! :)
-
I know it hinders my running...As I have lost weight, my times just keep getting better and better...it has taken me since June to see progress but I used to run 15+ minute miles, now down in the 10 minute miles. I have lost around 29 pounds and still have 11 to go to be at the minimum of where I want to be.

Yesterday, 5k race...today, rode my bike 8 miles...

OH yes and yesterday was it! Mexican food for lunch, doughnuts for breakfast and pizza for supper...Yup, almost 2,000 calories but a 5k run this morning and lots of activities all day... I only do this once in awhile and I have lost 30 pounds so a cheat day every now and then is A-OK!!! :)
-
They...are...the...best!!! Hope you like them! My favorite is the caramel sea salt and the cherry chocolate ones...But I haven't met one I didn't like yet! ;) And your welcome!
-
Yup...know exactly how you feel...I am on my fourth degree in five years with this being my second masters and I had gained over 30 pounds during that time...You HAVE to make time for yourself, even if it is just 15 minutes of walking around the block. I stress ate as well and chocolate was my favorite abused food or…

I am on a 1,350 calorie diet. But if I run really hard that day, I take in a few extra! ;)

I was the same way! Three months and little results...But I changed my way of eating, and I mean I kept my same calorie count, I just changed WHAT I ate, that made a big difference. You have to keep going to see results, sometimes they are slow...water intake is important. I am 5'6" and weight 161 right now. I run a 5k…

Look at some new recipes, try some new veggies or fruits from the grocery store and if you have never tried them, eat a KIND bar! They are the besttttt!!!!

are there any other food coops? I had to google ours to know there is one 20 minutes away that I never knew existed and we are a rural farming community.

That...is...awesome! Kudos to you!!! You just need a little push to get you to that last 15 pounds! Good luck and I am glad to meet you!
