I think you meant to post this on meowfitnesspal. That site helped my Mittens lose 10 pounds - would highly recommend.

In my experience, the MFP calorie targets tend to be on the low side already, so I'd hesitate before lowering it, especially if it's already set to 2lb/week loss. Honestly, I wouldn't over-think it too much until you stop seeing consistent steady loss.

As no one else appears to have answered my plea for an explanation of the TDEE method, I will courteously link this blog post by another MFP member to you: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/ShannonMpls/view/tdee-exercise-calories-an-alternate-way-to-customize-mfp-goals-238045 She briefly discusses TDEE (which, by the way,…

It seems like you have a very active life. I work in a nursing home, and I see the job that nursing assistants and aids do - transferring people, dressing, bathing, etc. That's by no means a desk job. Add onto that your convenience store work, being on your feet for four hours a day is not insignificant. I am concerned…

Some recommend <100g per day --> http://www.marksdailyapple.com/press/the-primal-blueprint-diagrams/#axzz2qtpaPrcM I'd search for the low carb groups on MFP. In the general forums, some people are unsupportive of of low carb intake and/or carb counting. I will say, however, that you might need to get used to counting…

Deleted it about a year and a half ago. What made me delete it was realizing how much time/mental resources I used occupying myself with information about other people that I didn't care or want to know. I subsequently lost touch with all those random people I knew from high school, college, grad school, if you can really…

Exactly this! When I have sufficient fat intake while minimizing carbs, I feel so satisfied for longer periods of time. If not for external reminders in my day, I might easily 'forget' to eat. If you constantly feel hungry, realize that this doesn't have to be "part of the deal" for weight loss or nutrition. Many people…

Since this time last year, I have lost 35 pounds. I have also learned so much about health, fitness, nutrition, and myself. Still have a ways to go, but I'm looking forward to all the things I will learn and accomplish in 2014 thanks to the skills I started building in 2013.

For some more evidence, check out this book: Exercise for Mood and Anxiety: Proven Strategies for Overcoming Depression and Enhancing Well-Being. I haven't read it in its entirety, but the authors provide a lot of information about the benefits of exercise on mood and anxiety. It's fairly cheap on amazon.

I am without a gallbladder, but haven't experienced any change in my body's response since starting paleo or LCHF.

This sounds like my kind of thread! I'm 24, just finished my MA. Grad school wasn't great for my physical health. I'm now entering the workforce and dealing the stress of starting a career... all while trying to be as healthy as I can be. Add me!
