Agreed - I ended up straight on 1200. SW gives me around 1500 mark instead, which seems more achievable. However, what I've ended up doing is manually putting maintenance into MFP and just consistently eating under it by some amount.. I've found that far easier psychologically.

To be honest, I'm not very experienced but what you're doing sounds like a really good idea!
-
I do both. I've just started experimenting with doing some bike work and then going running, which seems to ease my legs into things a bit more effectively.
-
Running in the rain infinitely preferable. I find it far easier as a beginner.

Cheese.

For lungs, I found that intervals on a stationary bike helped enormously. Warm-up of 1 minute off, 30 seconds on, five times; then three on, three off for as long as you can manage. I found I could breathe far better after doing that for a while, and interspersing bike intervals with running has kept that going (although I…

Cheese is the answer. To everything.

I don't think anyone would believe me (I'm a classically-trained violinist) but when I'm pushing for stupid times on the stationary bike, or indeed trying to do as much as possible at work, I'm listening to: Drum 'n' Bass Arena: DJ Zinc Adam F/DJ Fresh - Breakbeat Kaos Fabriclive 03: DJ Hype Jungle Rewind mixed by ShyFX

This track by Ronald Jenkees: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRnZtn1a9bM&list=PL02665296194941CF What's more under-appreciated, however, is the live version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lg8LfoyDFUM - he sits down, says, "Hello YouTubes!" and...well.
-
LOL moment on that one!
-
Pretty much: 5', trying to lose what's on the ticker below...

Yes - I have this problem even when it's just slightly warm! (And by 'slightly', I mean 17C today...which is ridiculous. 15C and I'm far happier.) I've taken to starting out with pre-soaked clothing, and/or dumping water down my back and shoulders en route. If it starts raining and I'm due to run, I'm straight out there so…

Oh - this, this, this!!
-
Oh, and when you bounce into work one morning very excitedly announcing that you managed whatever distance you did the previous night, ignore stupid comments from the colleague who will want to burst your bubble by telling you how slow you were. (No really.).
-
Yes: I once lost 6lbs overnight. Unless I got up and did about about 21,000 calories'-worth of exercise in my sleep, weight definitely doesn't follow any rules!!
-
The two best pieces of advice I've had: 1. Your mind will give up before your body does 2. When I did 3km for the first time, someone told me to never do less than that as I now knew I could do it. The next day I did it again, and then after a couple of rest days, suddenly ran 5km! (Which was yesterday, and it's only just…

This kind of thing: http://glutenfreelance.com.au/zucchini-coconut-muffins/ I'm really annoyed that I can't find the recipe I used years ago because they were great - fat-free, dairy-free, gluten-free, added-sugar-free cupcakes that people genuinely couldn't tell from the 'real' thing...
-
Yes, I did - it was fascinating. The idea that someone just came up with an arbitrary idea of 'overweight' and then said that everybody was, and started selling them products because of it, is, well...frightening. Even better, it's a four-part series! So it'll be interesting to see what comes next and what they say about…

"Treadmill" will be classed as "running". There are lots of different speeds in the database.
-
Haha, this! Couldn't have put it any better myself :D
-
Thank you - I tell you what, I owe kilometre 4 to the weird guy...I don't know who he was, and I don't think I want to...but I owe the weird guy *something*.
-
Hitting eleven stone. That was it. That. Was. IT.
-
Mine are so good, and have solved so many problems, that having to go a ridiculous distance to get them would still have been worth it :) (Mizuno Wave Inspire 9, for the record, available in colours that would make your eyes bleed.)
-
When you've read the question "Is eating 800 calories OK?" more times than you dare think about...
-
Well, if I didn't believe it yesterday... ...I just went out and did it again. Three minutes quicker. If I had one message for anyone out there - disengage your brain. The saying, "Your mind will give up before your body ever does" is absolutely true!!! (Thanks to the person who advised me to never do less than 3km again,…

Just fantastic!
-
It stopped raining in the third kilometre and was definitely harder - I don't know whether that was psychological or actual!!
-
I find this so ridiculous. When I go out to eat with friends, I don't give a damn what they're eating, let alone feel the need to make fun of them for their choices!
-
104,000 calories yesterday...that is impressive. I can only think he must be the giant from Jack and the Beanstalk?

Very good for stomach upsets, brown apples. Obviously not too brown or you will end up with serious stomach upsets.
