Right here, right here!! Kitchener, Ontario for me! B)

Yay!! I'm 39 and totally loving that I still fit in the 30's category!!
-
Interesting. @edwinhalo2016 sees a double workout with this rain and wind, and I see a warm blanket and cup of tea. :p
-
I was able to do 30 pushups yesterday (REAL pushups) in 1 minute. I collapsed after, but still did it!!
-
Absolutely! Except, you look like you may be able to run faster than me. I'm going to have to work on that. :p

A warm blanket by the fireplace when it's raining outside.

Whatever happened over the past few days is done and over. It really doesn't matter in the big picture, so don't add guilt to yourself. Tomorrow, get back to your usual day of tracking and being active and this little 'blip' will be forgotten about. I have a belly full of chocolate bunny carcasses, but I also have great…

I'm 39 and decided last year that I am going to enter my 40's being healthier than I have been since I was 20. Yep, it took a lot longer than I thought it would. After 14 months I'm down 45 pounds and now working on toning. It may take a bit longer, but stick with it and your body will make the changes.

Kitchener, Ontario for me. Canada is amazing!! I LOVE the East Coast, northern Ontario and Alberta. Still have to get all the way to the West Coast, but everywhere is beautiful. Oh, and us Canadians are pretty damn awesome. B)

It's tough to find a workout schedule when you have an injury, but definitely possible. I really hurt my heel in May while in a step class (I couldn't walk on it for days), and was told that it is plantar faciitis. Ever since then, I've had a lot of trouble with it and have been going to physio almost weekly. During that…

Thank you so much!

Help please. The formula for my W8 Loss (cell Y31) is incorrect - it's pulling from the line above mine. Since it's protected, I can't fix it. Could this please be fixed? I'm not even sure if this is where I should post this problem? Thank you!

Hitting plateaus absolutely sucks, and most of us have gone through this. There was about a month where I was working my *kitten* off and keeping my macros in check and the scale was not budging. It made me crazy, but the scale eventually started to move again (albeit slowly, but I took it!). I know everyone says not to…

Yes, yes, yes!!! I am a complete sucker for the holiday snacking. There are so many get-togethers which have lots of yummy finger foods and sweets. I swear I can eat my body weight in appetizers and never feel like I'm full. I try to keep a container of mints in my pocket when I'm at these parties and keep popping them in…

Always happy to have new friends! Anyone feel free to add me.

Wow, Wow, WOW!!! You are absolutely amazing!!! You have such strength and courage, be proud of yourself! Please don't get frustrated or down - think of all the successes you have had since you started to get healthy again. Plus, you are a huge inspiration! Thank you so much for sharing!

Hey everyone! I'm looking forward to doing this challenge - it will be great to feel part of a team. I'm 5'4" and started MFP at a weight of 195 pounds. My current weight is 165 pounds and I would love to lose another 15 pounds by Christmas. Not sure how do-able that is, but here's hoping! Info about me... I live in…

All such great advice! I guess I'm just concerned about making sure I stay within my calorie count. I'm about 15 pounds away from my goal, and want to do everything I can to get there. I don't want to over estimate my calorie burn, but I also want to know at least a ball park of what calories I have to play with. Once I…

I didn't know anything about Vo2 until I just did some reading about it (thanks @rabbitjb!). Just when I thought I was getting a handle on my fitness and body, it just kicks me in the *kitten*! Time to do some research for a new HRM which will be "less wrong". :) Thanks everyone for your help!!
-
I have an old model HRM. It's a Polar F4. After reading the blog that was sent my way, I definitely appreciate that I need something newer that updates my Vo2. Time to start saving my pennies for something more accurate!
-
Thanks so much!! I just read this and it absolutely helps me understand this better!
-
Hahahaha!! Okay, okay. Point taken. ;) I never really thought of it like that. Obviously there's still more I need to learn, but I guess I didn't have to lose 40 pounds by knowing all the ins and outs of weight loss and working out! :)
-
Good point! I updated it a while back, but I think I've lost about another 10 pounds since then. Thanks!
-
I'm confused? Increased heart rate doesn't mean increased calorie burn? I thought it did, which was part of my frustration since my heart rate (at least what the HRM is telling me) is still getting really high.

I had to buy some new clothes today since my summer clothes are getting really baggy. I tried on a medium shirt, and it was too big - I had to get a small! EEEEK!!! It's been 10 years since I've been a size small! Granted, the shirt is a bigger make since all my other shirts are a medium. But I'm taking advantage to be…

We're pretty awesome in real life too. B)

Hey Canadians!! I'm from Kitchener, Ontario. Been on MFP for a couple of years, but finally got serious about it back in February.
-
Absolutely you can add me! I'm in a similar position. I've been on MFP for a couple of years, but just got serious about it in February. I've lost 25 lbs and have another 10 lbs to go to reach my goal. Most of my MFP friends are inactive too. A little extra motivation would be great!
-
A HRM is definitely great to help log your exercise more accurately. I found the same thing - different apps gave me very different estimates. I bought a Polar FT4 about a year ago. At that time it was $90 (Canadian). I don't think they sell that model any more, but it was just a basic HRM with a strap. If you're going to…

You've done what you can. You've worked hard to get yourself healthy, don't let somebody take that away from you. Let him know how you feel, that you will always be there for him when he decides to take control of his life, and walk away.
