Welcome. I am 50 days new to MFP AND dieting I find plenty of freebies on this site. I am a 52 year old dog learning new tricks.

I am 52. When I was in HS and college, I competed in Track and Field. I weighed 127 - 130 lbs, and had very infrequent periods. The theory is that my body weight was too low to support a pregnancy, but no doctors told me that then. When I was 27, a doc told me I was in menopause. I started taking Basal body temp to see if…

You seem an ideal size now. Perhaps tone and don't really lose too much fat.

Welcome. I also use Runtastic and really enjoy it. I am going to try to add you as a buddy.

Pick up two 5 lb bags of sugar, and you will appreciate how much weight that is. Great job.

Walk outside. You will be amazed how many calories you burn, and seems all would enjoy fewer folks in the house.

42 lbs. in 3 months???? :noway: Now I am the envious one!

I am 53 with post-menopausal fluff to lose. I am a single mom with 3 kids at home - 2 girls in college and the boy soon to be. I am 40 days on this site, and rather obsessed with MFP. ;-) Feel free to add me (poster and readers).

I am 52 with similar habits and weight to lose Feel free to add me as a friend. (I was hoping to run a 5 miler in the Fall for charity, but I am not making suitable progress. I am happy I can now jog over 2 miles without walking.)

I am 52 years old with more like 50 lbs. to lose. I was tall and thin when young, bu heavier over time. I also have yo-yoed a bit. I am NOT losing weight nearly as quickly as I wanted. I am exercising much more. I TOTALLY believe in MFP. I am counting calories for the first time in my life. I know I will be doing so for…

I was once surprised by seeing a woman my age taller than myself. When I asked her, ever so empathetically, how tall she was, she told me 5'13".

5'10 in my youth, but I am 52 years old now. My daughters envy my height and tell me since only 3% of the world's population of women are over 5'10", I am a rare bird. No wonder I have always been stalked. :-)

I am 52, new to this site, and about your size. Add me as a friend if you like. I have changed my lifestyle - thanks MFP.

Love the jars of stones!

Hi everyone. I am 52 and looking to read experiences similar to my own. I am new to the site, but would like to keep tabs on this forum.

This is clearly the best solution.
-
I may be in love with this response.

Clearly, your friend bride does not realize the point of asking ugly girls to be bridesmaids and further putting them in hideous gowns so she will reign ad goddess. Seriously, it is inappropriate in every way to demand anyone lose weight to suit one's self.

Sounds like fun to me!
-
Remember, women typically gain a bit of weight in the early 20s (commonly called the freshman 15). This is hormonal, so perhaps HS weight is a bit low.

Does your health plan allow for a Nutritionist?
-
You are stunningly beautiful!

I sometimes think I have changed my metabolism rate by surviving on so little. My best guess (newbie here) is that you need to surprise your metabolism. I just started 5:2 and really believe in it. That's another thing- have a clear plan and visualize your success - exactly how it will all work.

Really? Cuz I was SO hoping as sweat pours off me in extreme heat that it is actually fat dripping onto the ground. :ohwell:

Anyone on this site can search the internet. Folks are asking for personal experiences. When we can provide links- great. When we can provide caring, even better. Many are looking for hope and encouragement, not science.

Walla Walla Washington. Yeah - its fun to say.
-
Hooray! I can't wait to achieve similar results. You look wonderful!

I am NOT a sleever and know nothing about it, but I am very interested on behalf of my 54 year old friend that is over 300 lbs. and is having knee trouble now. I am 52.
