So happy to know people are feelin' the LOVE!! YAY!!

What aylajane said. Totally!! Also I find it is helpful for me to have protein based snacks available- string cheese, nuts, protein bars, or even rolled up deli meat or hard boiled eggs if you have a fridge at work.

YAY!!! And you are welcome!!! :)

Y'all are welcome and Rob, your video made me LOL!!

I would be SO BUMMED. Seriously-- that is disappointing. :( And also, like others have said, it gives you more time to prepare. I am a firm believer that everything happens just as it should-- this does not mean you have to happy about it (but it sure makes life easier if you are!). I am very glad they discovered the…

Wow! What a transformation! Congrats!!

Wow. What a journey you have had. I have always been impressed with how much you lost pre-op. I did not take the prep work as seriously as you did and looking back, I wish I would have-- but nothing can be done about it now. :) Your advice is sound-- get a good plan, work the plan, find people who can support you along the…

It is not uncommon to have feelings like this. I think many of us can relate. If you follow the guidelines given by your surgery center, you will absolutely lose weight. I am a firm believer that what we focus on, we get. If I focus on my fear, I attract the very thing I am afraid of. The more convinced I am I will fail,…

Are you eating dense protein? I find when I eat things like chicken, beef, etc. that I get full and stay full longer than when I am eating carbs.

This CICO (Calories in/calories out) debate has been much discussed. If you are interested, Click on the "start here" topic on the main LCHF page and then look for the threads arguing for and against CICO (calories in calories out). Bottom line? Some people have to worry about them, some don't. I do not worry about the…

I can understand your concerns. My husband has always been overweight and for much of our marriage he was morbidly obese (and so was I). We both lost over a hundred pounds each. I have to be honest- I struggled for awhile to find him attractive sometimes since he was so skinny-- but that stopped when I realized it was MY…

WOW!! Those are some AWESOME test results!! Keep up the good work!

Get a burger without the bun and a salad with it instead of fries.

My post-binge strategy is to allow myself all of the low carb, high fat food I can eat for the next day or so-- it reminds me of how I don't have to be hungry on this WOE and how good I can feel when I eat what my body likes. When I was dieting, I used to fast as "punishment" for my binge-- I do not see that as serving…

If you increase exercise, you are going to experience more hunger-- that is just how it is. It is the body's way of trying to keep you from starving. :) When I was tracking calories, I allowed myself to "eat back" half of the calories I burned. I did not have any issue with stalls or anything by doing so. Also, it was…

Well, thanks! ;) Good to know I am not alone! :)

Yikes! So sorry you had this experience. I was told that once I lost the weight I would have to deal with lots of "unwanted" male attention. Has not happened. Not once. Honestly, I am a little disappointed (please do not misunderstand, I do NOT want to be stalked!)- it would not be so bad to every once in awhile have some…

Much wisdom here! ^^^^ I am 18-19 months out from surgery (just to offer context). I was only able to come to the decision to have surgery in the first place by beginning the journey of loving myself. This put me in the place where I was willing/able to consider what was in the best interest of my health and what was the…

If I stick to things like salmon roll or yellowtail roll, there is very little rice in them. I usually do a mix of sashimi and the "meatier" rolls. :)
-
WOW!! That is wonderful!! Congrats, champ!! Looking mighty fine in that jacket!! :)
-
You are too funny!
-
Awww shucks! Thanks! :) Bingeing is something I know a LOT about because I have done a lot of it! Less so, these days, but I have had more than my share of practice! ;)
-
I am 18 months out and I can eat everything. Rice is something I do not eat a lot of because it makes me feel overfull and uncomfortable- the only time I have rice is when I have sushi and I try to choose "low rice content" items like salmon or yellowtail rolls that just have a smidgen of rice in them. :)

You get to decide if/when you are done losing weight and if your "collarbones scare people" it is because of what is going on with THEM- not you. Yes, you are now thin- but I do not think you look overly so. Size 8??!!! That is awesome. Great work!! :)
-
WOW!!! You look wonderful!! Congrats!

I have LOADS of suggestions.... because I am a binger, too! Here ya go..... 1) PROTEIN and FAT== these will fill you up. BUT sometimes I have found even when I eat them, I just add junk on top because for me, bingeing is not about physical hunger. I am going for a FEELING-- usually that food-coma kind of thing I get when I…

Yes, you will!

HOLY COW!!! What a superb transformation!!!

Looks like OODLES of fun! YAY!!!
