  • maybe it would be something you can maintain it as a lifestyle better if you allow yourself a "anything I want" dessert (but just one dessert!) once a week rather then having an all out dessert binge day once a month....that way you are getting your sweets every week so you might not feel the need to consume so many sweets…
  • When I am on the right dosage of synthroid my only "hypo" symptoms are that I get cold like no tomorrow....when the dosage is off even slightly, my symptoms are very consistent, being depression (otherwise I am quite a easygoing "happy" person), feeling lethargic and needing more sleep, weight gain (probably more to do…
  • I run Monday Wednesday Friday...but exercise of some form 5-6 days a week. I try and spread out my cardio so I am doing any other cardio mostly on the days that I don't run.
  • Just finished week one day 2 again....got to get back into a habit so I can get this thing done!
  • My DR told me any gain more then 5lbs of water weight cannot be blamed on BC and is more to do with peoples unhealthy choices....yes it can cause you to retain water/gain small amounts of weight, but not as much as people try and use it as an excuse for....you might gain a few lbs but your not going to go from skinny to…
  • can you do planks? like holding your body on your elbows and toes? Maybe doing planks and increasing your endurance(time) will help at least get your body more used to the posture and build your core and shoulders a bit to help you out with a push up?
  • This...your body shape is determined by your bone structure, so nothing short of sanding down bones will significantly change it...however when people are in the overweight/obese catagories they may be mis-guessing what their body shape actually is, but looking at your measurements that doesnt seem to be your case. Work…
  • I eat back enough calories that I net at least 1200 (my calorie goal is 1600ish), but if after working out I only net 1250, unless I am starving, I don't eat back the additional calories..I do try and hit my 1600 in food calories though before factoring working out.
  • A hedghog named Skookum and a cat named Seymour
  • I use runtastic and LOVE it....similar to mapmyrun but I like the runtastic website better so thats what I use....any of those free apps should work as long as they detect gps and use an accurate map.
  • Do you stretch after runs? I find this helps...also are you getting enough vitamins and minerals?
  • Yeah that will look classy sticking dryer sheets down my sports bra and in my running shorts......I don't even have room for my keys let alone dryer sheets.... I am curious about the wristbands though...I live in a rainforest and bugs LOVE me so I would love an alternative to deep woods sprays.
  • The first time I moved out I was 17, the next time I was 22 (lived at home for the school year), the next time was 25 (Lived at home for 2 years) when I got married....hahaha Life is expensive, and when I was a single student and my parents live closer to the school then I could afford to rent, it made sense to move back…
  • This. I walk or run on my own 6 days a week....I get hubby out for an additional walk, hike or canoeing about 3 days a week. He also goes bike riding on his own (I don't have a bike). He knows he's not as fit as he once was, but isn't ready to commit to concrete goals or track food or anything so I figure any time I can…
  • I log every time I step on the scale...some weeks that's once, some weeks that's every day. I like seeing the fluctuations both good and bad so that its easy to track the damages certain events, meals, habits have as well as the successes. if I only logged once a week or when there were losses I feel I wouldn't be as…
  • I used to, because my DR told me to because I was borderline anemic and would get (lack of) iron white spots spots on my skin....but then I forgot to take it most of the time because I wasn't supposed to take it within 4 hours of my other medication....so then just made a conscious effort to try and up the iron intake in…
  • I don't drink non-dairy milk because its better for me...I drink it because I can't have lactose. No conversation or opinion (which is what that article is in the end since every section ends with a "I believe" or the" research says" without anything backing it up)....is going to make my body tolerate lactose better....
  • If you are looking for budget skip the treadmill and run outside! I also do squats, push ups (sometimes), sit ups, planks etc...all free, and I use free apps to motivate/challenge me. I also have pilates videos that I picked up at the second had store for a dollar each and use zumba for the xbox Kinect (since my hubby has…
  • I'm in. I started c25k a couple weeks ago, but got sick so stopped. I have been "run/walking" for about a month now and need something to start to push me to have it more running then walking so I thought c25k might work. Starting again (well week 1 day 2) tomorrow (if I can stop coughing long enough to run at all!)....I…
  • "My suggestion: Reconnect with yourself again." This...oh my friend, so this. I will never in my life forget living post breakup after a guy who told me he was going to marry me, who almost convinced me to move across the country for him after he moved, dumped me...I literally cried for days, . After convinced his sister…
  • I like to call my hair naturally frizzy....its wavy but without product in it is a disaster, so I usually end up straightening, curling, or pulling it back.
  • Just a thought on a comment you made about feeling like your tummy seems even worse....well....take it from someone who stores ALL their weight in their tummy....you might be feeling that way because as you lose weight/inchs in other areas, if you are someone who naturally stores fat in their midsection, its usually the…
  • went blonde in May...now its growing out...haven't decided if I want to dye it back, grow it out, or try and add some brown to make it more ombre.....so in the meantime its shoulder length with bad roots..
  • I'm 27- looking more to be healthy (and more fit) then lose weight, but I am around regularly.
  • I was diagnosed hypothyroid at 11 (before puberty), and have been on some form of medication since. I am now 27 and on 137 of synthroid and it seems to be finally leveling off, haven't had to get it changed in over a year and a half, until now I was getting dosage upped about every 8-12 months.
  • My husband dislikes tattoo's. I don't currently have any, mostly because I just never had the money...was always paying for something that seemed more important at the time. There are 3 that I want that I have wanted since I was a teenager, and will get at some point. I would def tell my hubby when I go to get the first…
  • I use runtastic and c25k at the same time....I assume runtastic gives me a few extra calories so I don't eat them all back, but I do like having the information (distance, calories, pace) logged in Runtastic. Plus I really like the runtastic website for tracking my various cardio exercise.
