  • Pre-Preg: 128lbs Highest Pregnancy weight: not sure...somewhere around 198 9 Months PP: 148 ...lent out my scale haven't weighed since but assuming it hasn't changed much...have hovered at 146-150 since 4 months PP. Still about 20lbs to go..hoping to make a dent by babies first birthday in April.
  • Maybe it would be a good time to try and "eat what you let him eat..." that is actually a huge part of why we started BLW was because we DIDNT have particularily healthy eating habits the first 6 months of her life so when we started introducing food to her I am forced to cook or find food that is healthy for the rest of…
  • Glad to see you back Tigger...I'm right there with you...almost the same story! Its so hard when you feel like you are doing everything right (or the same way I successfully lost weight before) and seems like its not making a difference. I'm more motivated in the last 2 weeks then I have been in the last 4 months, so…
  • I completely agree there is no reason you have to do cereal (rice or otherwise....we don't do rice, usually barley or oats), just as long as you are making sure they are getting large amounts of iron in somewhere...for us adding a cereal was the easiest way to do that.
  • We did very black and white BLW at 6 months at it went great for a while...after a while - around 8 months she just would get tired/bored of trying to eat it long before she got full, and even though the book says that's normal and they will just make up for it at another meal...she wasn't as she was having troubles…
  • I tried to eat before going to the hospital but puked, but my labour was short and intense and started in the middle of the night...by the time we got to the hospital baby was already on her way and there was no time for anything... (including moving the car...thanks for the 80 ticket little one)
  • I need to get back into healthy mode...it just hit me this week that my DD is almost 9 months old...that means she's been out almost as long as she was in and that the 1 year goal that I gave myself to lose the babyweight is imminent and I have not lost anything since June!!! (Well I have, but then I gained and then…
  • Lindsay lake above Bunson is GORGEOUS if you can get a day that isn't foggy up there! I love that area! Golden ears is great, also the UBC research forest is good for smaller hikes to just get out there! I also LOVE the lindamen/greendrop lakes hike out by chillowack lake.
  • Ugh! ME! I lost about 20lbs within the first couple months, and then hit a wall where no matter how I ate and how much I exercised couldn't lose a lbs. I have been there since July and my LO is now 7 months old and I still have 20lbs to lose to get back to pre-pregnancy weight. I pretty much gave up and stopped caring in…
  • I edited my "goals" so that my calorie goal is 2000 (instead of 1600 which MFP gave me). Some people log breastfeeding as an "activity" but yes if you are eating healthy and exercising you can still lose weight...just make sure not to cut down your calories too much.
  • THis is my first baby...the only signs I had was that I was dialated to a 2 and 80% effaced for 3 weeks before. My water broke on her EDD and then contractions started.
  • I agree! Baby is 12 days old now and man does breastfeeding take a lot of time! Also I have noooo idea how to track foods since I don't want to mess with the breastfeeding (that we seem to have juuuust now started to "get") and really don't know what I need vs. what to cut to try and start the weight turn around.
  • One more tidbit to pass on.....I was having trouble remembering to drink the tea more then once a day...the other day (when it was hot out) I used it to make iced tea....I did 3-1 RRL tea to regular raspberry tea to make it a bit more tasty and YUM its good...might not be so good if your GD because I added a lot of sugar,…
  • It's April! Congrats to the mom's with outside babies (and good luck with this next stage!) and a big ALMOST THERE to all of us momma's still waiting! Only a few more days or weeks for all of us! Question: How soon do you realistically plan on getting active/tracking food after baby?
  • Congrats! Would love to hear your birth story and how you are doing since being home!
  • Walking and Pre-natal yoga.... I was off exercise completely because of dizzy/fainting spells in he early second trimester and never really recovered. I tried to join a prenatal fitness class in early 3rd but it was too much after not doing anything....Now I mostly walk at a snails pace, but hey its better then sitting on…
  • I lost weight in the beginning and then started gaining weight late..it came as a HUGE shock to me to gain so much weight so fast and I now weigh more then I have in my life, which for me is quite scary since I worked my *kitten* off to get lose the extra weight I had been carrying around since highschool.... TBH that's…
  • It says organic raspberry leaf tea for pregnancy and menstruation, doesn't say anything else is added to it.
  • Hey ladies, I have been terrible about keeping up here (so sorry!)...I blame it on fear of the scale, being told to gain weight and overall hating pregnancy. I am sooo ready to be done! 38 weeks today and started Mat leave this week. I can't believe EDD is in 2 weeks!!! Any April babies born yet? Dr says baby and body are…
  • Couldn't find it anywhere until last week ( I am 38 weeks today) so just started drinking it, the box says to drink 3 cups a day for "labour preparation" and no more then 6 cups a day max...
  • May 12th is a good birthday (It's mine!) I am kind of hoping baby is just a touch early to be born back at our original EDD of April 6th (EDD is currently april 11) because that's my husbands birthday.
  • I need a like button for this. I keep being worried because I want to stay in that 25-35lb gain margin, but gained 10lbs since December, but really as long as you are doing what you can to eat and be healthy, that's more important then the numbers right now....if you are not overeating and are staying active that weight…
  • Not to say you are not welcome to stick around, but when we had decided to TTC I found a lot of help and support at this group: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/forums/show/58-ttc-for-future-mommies-to-be-
  • How are we doing going into the third Trimester April Mom's? We had our first pre-natal class last night, it seems like it could be helpful. Apparently I am measuring small so they are sending me for another US next week to make sure baby girl isn't also measuring small Having a hard time with fitness as I have had a…
  • This! Welcome, while I wouldn't advice trying to maintain your weight or losing any without a lot of Dr recommendation/supervision, you might naturally maintain or lose if you focus more on trying to stay healthy, eating right (but make sure you are eating ENOUGH! Do not cut calories/proteins/good fats like you would if…
  • Welcome! How did your 20 Week Ultrasound go?
  • <<< This was at 19 weeks, I am 22 weeks now but don't have any newer decent photos.
  • Its a girl! And I had "elevated glucose levels" in my pee yesterday...so I am getting sent for my gestational diabetes test 2 weeks early. (Still not until after Christmas though....so I can live in blissful ignorance over the holidays...)
  • I had planned on only telling family (which we did at 7 weeks) and my boss so that he wouldn't hear from gossip at work because I was SOOO sick in the first trimester. Well Turns out people started guessing so we ended up "telling" FB at 10 weeks after our first U/S....if I hadn't been as sick we would have waited until I…
