Again....carb amount does not matter. Weight loss is all about the calorie deficit.

Literally as many as you want, as long as you stay in a calorie deficit. As whether eating a lot of sugar is nutritionally sound is another story.

A job is not responsible for our weight loss journey, we are.

Wait. You've lost 17 pounds? And, it's just been the last two weeks when you have not lost? That sounds like normal weight fluctuations to me.
-
Nope. Muscle gain is very difficult to attain, especially for women.

Dang, this is GREAT! Got some chuckles out of me.....and I am very fond of ndj!

Sugar is sugar. Your body does not know the difference.

I don't see where she said she had an intolerance to fructose or lactose....

Welcome! You're doing an awful lot of work when not all that is necessary. I crossed out the ones that are absolutely not necessary. There is no magic in things like Protein Drinks and Amazing Grass. Just eat whatever you like, eat less of it, stay in a calorie deficit, and you will lose weight.

It's an excellent opportunity to teach a child that food is not good or bad, it's just food. ;)

I love when the little ones want to share. It's so cute!

There is no healthy or unhealthy food, there is just food. I'm sure the toddler knows this.

Congratulations on your weight loss! :) Talk to your wife about your feelings, but also listen to her feelings as well. Think about getting some help from a marriage counselor. It sounds like you are no longer the same person she married, and that might be the core issue here. Is she the same person you married? And the…

This is misinformation. Diabetes is not caused by sugar, but sugar does affect diabetes.

Hayley, there is not a thing wrong with wanting to cut back on certain things, whether it be treats, or meat or even broccoli! Just remember that weight loss is the result of a calorie deficit and not food type. Food type is about what you believe is best for you to keep that calorie deficit. In other words, if eating too…

It's just another excuse for not losing weight. I know, I've used just about all the excuses, and I also have an eating-disorder past.

This.

Pam definitely has calories. As said by others, a one second spray is about 10 calories per second. So, say you can count to five seconds while spraying-that's 50 calories right there. It all adds up at the end of the day/week, so be judicious about your logging.

Macy, I agree that defining certain meals or days as cheating is not a good idea because an emotional relationship with food is established. I agree with planning those days when we want to eat more, or treat ourselves. However, the bold portion of your posting indicates an incredibly unhealthy relationship with food. Food…

Matthew, Congratulations on your weight loss!! If you're eating more on one day, but you are still losing weight, then it seems to me all is fine. The reason you feel guilty, in my humble opinion, is because you see eating more as a cheat day, which implies you are doing something wrong. As long as you stay within your…

Nope. Diet work only when you eat less calories than you burn.

It's only been two weeks. Try to be patient. :) Also, you are in a normal weight range and want to lose...what...ten pounds? That will take awhile. You should have your goals set for a half pound a week, and you need to expect slow weight loss. Patience and persistence, and it will happen. I like the idea about tracking…

But..... Nobody has said it did not create a deficit. It....does. But, you won't lose weight if you exercise and do not eat at a calorie deficit. I know, I gained 30 pounds running three times a week because I ate too much food. ;)
-
That's because you created a calorie deficit. Exercise is just one of the ways to do that. A calorie deficit is required to lose weight. The exception would be a medical issue that needs attention.
-
Internet shows it's some kind of indoor cycling.
-
Well.....added exercise creates a calorie deficit if you don't change your eating habits, which it sounds like you have not. Of course you're losing weight. Exercise is just a tool. The reason you are losing weight is because you area eating in a calorie deficit.
-
I'm curious to know how you know so much about what VS models do and do not do as far as eating habits.
-
Ohhhhh, not again! I bit!

If you lost weight, its because of a calorie deficit, which happened to take place during the time when you were doing the wraps. The only magic those wraps have is the magic the individual gives it. I'm glad your thinking is less cloudy too. Weight loss and self-care have excellent benefits!
