No! protien supplements are great!

bump! I want Michelle's arms too! I do a pretty serious regimen of tricep extensions, pull ups and plank every other day at the gym, but I think more importantly before you can really see the toning you gotta melt the fat. That's at least what a personal trainer told me. High protien low calorie meals, cardio, and weight…

Wow it looks like you lost alot more than 10.6 pounds! Way to go!

I'm bad, I go tanning, but I live in the PNW where it rains 9 months of the year and everyone is severely defficient in D.. and man getting in the tanning bed definitely improves not only my energy level but my mood as well.

I was struggling too until I stopped eating foods for flavor and starting eating foods for function. The foods I eat might be bland, but they serve their purpose, and I don't crave them in excess. If you start eating purely for function, as if your body is a machine, you will have success, but like everyone else says, you…

thank you guys so much!

I do exercise a lot and I eat around 1500-1600 per day. When I was eating 1200 I hit a plateau hard and I didn't break it until I increased my calories. I think my body thought I was starving and I couldn't lose any weight without a sufficient amount of calories.
-
whats your calorie intake? I plateau'd around 132 for 2 months.
-
24!

That sounds like an excellent start. 30 day shred will kick your butt in a good way. Love that its a short workout too! and you will feel plenty satisfied on 1700 if you still make wise choices (lots of live foods & good proteins!)

I'm 24 and 5'2, I feel so starved on 1200 so I bumped it up to 1500 but it turns out I am comfortable eating around 1600-1700/day (net) and even more if I have a brutal workout! Still am losing and making wise choices by upping my protein intake, which has helped with strength training and toning! No more starving! YAY!

Yes. Anywhere you feel fat will also shrink with the rest of you. I used to think I naturally had a fat face and then I lost 26 pounds and didn't have that insecurity anymore.
-
looked up a flapjack recipe and it seems as though that'd be the only option... maybe you'd need to add more syrup or something
-
butter popcorn before bed. totally avoided it.
-
This is great! thanks for posting!
-
I know how you feel! I get so hungry at night I've thought about skipping breakfast or at least having a really light one so my dinner can be more satisfying.
-
only 10 bux at target. count me in too!

I stopped losing after 2 weeks on 1200, and it was a 2 week long plateau, untill somone on here told me to eat back at least 2/3 of my exercise calories because my body was in "starvation mode". I was very skeptical but I started eating them back and immediately started losing weight again.
-
I'm 24 and Im ravenously hungry on just 1200, and I eat balanced small meals that shouldn't leave me feeling full. I think since my metabolism is higher I require more calories (1400-1500) to be burning at maximum efficiency. I bet you need more than I do, youngin!

I track mostly only calories and protien. I try to get 30% protien intake although its hard. I guess I care about that more than anything else because I know it feeds my muscles and doesnt break down into sugar. If I try to keep track of too many things I get discouraged, other than getting enough protien I just eat…

So many great suggestions!!! Thank you guys. I really want to order Veganomicon and Appetite for Reduction. Thanks for all the blogs and websites as well! I love new recipes.
-
Oh noo. That would be wayyy more discouraging.
-
Thank you! This is very wise!
-
At 5'2" I'm a 4/6 and I think I want to stop at a 2/4.
-
i definitely vote for adding nutitional yeast and maybe vegan or light cream cheese. mmm!
-
if cinnimon is the trick then I'm in luck! I just figured out how to make 100 calorie french toast. Its good too!
-
youre right, I think I'm missing alot of fiber
-
yeah they're high intensity. pouring sweat! burn about 650 calories in an hour.
-
Yeah I've started exercising in the mornings and became ravenously hungry all the time.
