Ham, brussel sprouts, broccoli, acorn squash and some malted milk eggs. I left the potato salad, macaroni salad, biscuits and strawberry shortcake for the rest of the family.

I don't like milk either. I eat my multigrain cheerios mixed with yogurt. It's yummy.

Yes, I said that I weighed 195 lbs when I actually weighed 230 or so. I now weigh 140 but don't have to renew my drivers license until 2016. That's motivation to keep the weight off!!

Yesterday at work two of the women I work with were talking about weight. Both of them are overweight. One said that she read a study saying people at middle age and older should carry some extra weight. According to this "study" the body can use that extra "cushion" when health problems happen. I had no summer clothes since I was a size 14/16 last summer and now a 6/8. I have slowly built up a new (to me) summer wardrobe from Savers, Goodwill and Salvation Army thrift stores. Great stuff, fabulous prices and I got a 30% off coupon for donating my too big clothes. I love thrifting!!

I buy 10 ounce bags of frozen blueberries, peach slices and strawberries at Dollar Tree. They are a dollar a bag and taste great. I buy several bags of each and eat them with cottage cheese, cereal, yogurt, ice cream of just plain.

I don't weigh any food. I weigh myself every morning but don't get uptight with normal fluctuations. I eat back part of my exercise calories.

I have found that no matter what shift I work I am only successful if I bring my food to work with me. I prepare my work food several days in advance. It's easy after you get the hang of it and takes out the guess work and bad choices.
