I am in! Thanks for adding me. Just recently came back to MFP because I need the support and accountability! Hoping to help out others too...this challenge is going to be great. Thanks for getting it going!

Hi there. I am also looking for an accountability partner as well. Hubby is fit (he has an active job and lifestyle) and I have been lax....working 60-70 hrs a week (mainly at a desk) ... Stress...etc.... Eating too much isn't as much of a problem but I need to be more active (for sure) and eat a bit more healthy. 5'9" and…

Fabulous!!! I did the same exact thing......the biggest size pants I was wearing...were really one size too small.... I just wasn't willing to admit it! I am happy to say that those pants are now too big for me!! Keep up the great work!!

Welcome! It is a GREAT app!! You will find many friends here helping to keep us all healthy!!

I can't figure out how to get my CW number changed...even though I was the one who changed it to 174.5. I am at 165.5 now!!!

I am 5'9". Started at 182 and am now at 164.5 (4 months in). It has been an awesome trek. I do exercise some but I am not over zealous about the exercise. Tracking the food intake has been the key for me....I am a grazer and that needed to STOP! I eat what I want at meal time and record the calories. I love salad and that…

I'm 5'9" and currently weigh 167. (wearing a size 12 .....am hoping to start buying 10s soon!) I started the journey 3 months ago at 182..... Goal weight is 150. Keep up all of the great work out there!!! Loving MFP!!

Welcome!! You are right, this site is the motivation most of us need and crave more than food. The tracking and results speak volumes and a click of the button brings you to first hand reports of how it is working in the lives of others. It's been the best thing I have found....in fact I have QUIT looking elsewhere because…

Great idea to share this....it lets us know how realistic our goals are! I'm 5'9" HW 183 CW 172 (size 12...but they are getting pretty loose!) GW 150 My lowest weight was 132 but....that was over 30 years ago....four kids since then....and I was probably too thin....although I sitll felt large even at 132....go figure!!
-
Congrats! That is definitly something to be proud of. You go girl!
-
Way to go!!! It is a great feeling to move from one label to the next.....lower one!! Congrats!
-
Lose weight. The accountability of tracking food is working for weight loss but I am planning to use it to maintain....WHEN I hit my goal!!
-
This is not a small thing!! It is a BIG hurdle which you have crossed!! Yeah for you!
-
I agree. Exercising releases powerful positive endorphines that are great for mental healthiness! So why, even though I know this to be true.....is it such an effort to get the butt off the couch to get it done?? I have started putting on the 'oldies' radio station thoughout the day and just the beat gets me WANTING to…

Way to go! You look fabulous! Don't let others determine your goal....that should be between you and the doctor. (they are probably jealous anyway!) Keep eating healthy and livin' positively....you'll hit that goal.
