Great for extending cell culture lines to keep research costs down which could be beneficial as this cost saving could be passed on to the patient from a pharmaceutical perspective. When it comes to the aim to reduce the signs of ageing or to increase longevity I don't care for telomeres are the chormosal equivalent to a…

Op are you sure you are properly medicated there is the normal range and what is normal for you! Ignoring the weight gain for now are you asymptomatic on the amount of levo you are on? To illustrate I'm hypo in the normal range but TSH is at the bottom end of normal and T4 at the extreme top to be without symptoms any…

^^ agreed. And worse case scenario coma and death there is no natural way to treat hypothyroidism unless it has been medically diagnosed as due to an iodine deficiency which is extremely rare in the western world!

Yuk! It's not even easy to just extract chlorophyll from plant material I'll stick with green leafy veg

My dentist says this everytime I go, I argued at first because it's an assumption on her account, I know it's not true. Now I just nod and leave it at that, I know genetically I have bad teeth it runs on my mum's side of the family. I have good dental hygiene (she never deems it necessary for me to go to the hygienist),…

Pretty certain the lack of bm is the cause for not losing any weight, that is 2 weeks of food waste backed up in there. Try some over the counter laxatives or a fibre supplement (or both) and I would suggest that if that doesn't get you going soon see a doctor I can imagine there's some serious discomfort involved

See, I love dark chocolate (lindt is one of my favourites) I know it's a you either hate or love it taste. White chocolate however, blegh!

Sounds awful!

Had to Google 1 2 3 cake and definitely doesn't appeal ugh more evidence that the microwave and cake do not go together.

Looks like it should taste good but I will take your word for it. I have experimented with applesauce to replace butter in a oat and raisin cookie recipe before, it tasted alright but wasn't as good as the original. I have resigned myself to just having to bake less frequently and sticking to the original recipes; none of…

Mmmm pretty much love anything pork related but never had pork rinds they are essentially puffed pork skin right?

Yup I have also tried sweet potato fries got to say I will always, always prefer normal potato fries. I will eat roasted sweet potato in a medley with squash, carrots and parsnips but not as fries. Definitely sticking with turning my overripe bananas into banana bread or banana muffins and definitely prefer traditional…

Oh agreed I absolutely hate cauliflower, yuk!

I would say your maintenance calories are then probably higher over the week than what mfp has you set to and even though you eat those (according to mfp) 2000 cals over at the weekend you are actually not going over your maintenance calories. To get a bit more scientific: my guess is mfp uses a normal distribution curve…

Over 66lbs lost and I have no loose skin issues I'm not done yet as I want to lose another 9lbs but I can't imagine that those extra 9 will make a lot of difference to the current skin situation.

I heard something said re personal development today, it was in a work context but it sort off applicable as we are all working on ourselves here aren't we. She said: your comfort zone maybe pleasant to be in but to make progress you have to step out of it and go into that zone where you are stretching and challenging…

If you go into nutrition in the android phone app you can look at cals for the day or the whole week you can also look at net or total figures. On the pc as you can look at you weightloss graph in the drop down box there is also an option to look at cals.

Your calorie allowance also depends on your height, age and activity level, maybe you have set a different activity level from last time?

If I go to the local pizza place I guesstimate as close as I can with similar entries in the database that's all you can do really unless your local pizza place has nutritional information (mine has not I don't think the old fashioned italian guy that runs it will ever add that info either but he! It's the best pizza in…

I can honestly say I haven't really thought about what to name what I'm doing. I changed jobs november last year and someone recently asked if I was on a health kick because they saw my lunches a few times in a row (basically a ton of vegetables with hummus or similar) and I basically said not really I have been eating…

First of can I say that you are doing something absolutely amazing for that couple! Be prepared for the hormonal roller coaster that will be injecting yourself with a ridiculous amount of hormones. The chances are that during the process you probably will gain some weight and balloon a little due to hyperstimulation of…

Bravissimo is the place to look, my friend just got a 34J sports bra from there not cheap but in her words very good

There are different things you can do, have a play around with your macros and see what ratio makes you feel fuller, for some that is high fibre, others it is protein or fat. The second option it reduce your goal to something less agressive i.e. if set to 2 lbs loss a week reduce it to 1lb a week so you get to eat more.…

First well done on recovering from anorexia! OK so looking at bmi yours is at 25 so hovering between overweight and a normal weight so you really don't need to lose too much at all. First of ask your medical professional for help and take it super slow (set your weightloss goal to something like 0.2 5lbs a week) maybe add…

4kg away from goal, hoping to get there for the end of June but I won't be upset if I don't I already weigh less than my 14yr old self so I'm pretty happy! That 4kg will take me to the top end of the normal bmi range. I may try and maintain there or I may decide to lose a bit more, I won't know until I get there and to be…
-
Nope it's not cheating it's being realistic about what you think you can stick to. I've recently reduced my goal from 1kg a week to 0.5kg a week because I kept on going over my calorie allowance too frequently and it just wasn't doable anymore. Funnily enough I get to eat more and the scale is moving more regularly again…
