I am hoping Tammy we can find out how to handle they challenge. I cannot do 26.2 miles in one day. I will not but my body under that kind of stress when I…
  • It's been a busy couple days for me. On Thursday I ran my 5K in 38 minutes. On Friday I bought myself new running shoes and a tomtom runner watch. Today., I ran a 8 & 3/4 mile hill & beach race . This race is the cornerstone for me. Because 8 months ago I decided two things. One I would loose weight and two I would run…
  • I like this challenge. I see a little fun tomorrow night. I'm in definite need of a new pair of running shoes.
  • Tammie. You did more than a half marathon which is 13.1 miles. I am so very proud of you!! Great job on your journey. I am proud of you.
  • Tammie, That post big run crash can be easily avoided by taking in 100 calories every 45 minutes. Anything over 5 miles you should treat this way. I have been learning the hard way.
  • To be honest I don't know how I run. Then again I see your workouts and go how does she do the eliptical every day. Gym classes etc. the weather here averages 55 degrees f and during the winter this year many runs have been in 38 degrees. The fog is thick. But each day I lace up my shoes I am overwhelmed by the freedom I…

My 5K split was 35:55 and my 10K time was 1:15:30 overall an amazing day. Plus my mom ran the 5K. I had my first slice of my favorite pizza since is tarted my weight loss…

  • Hubby made fish tacos with seasoned cod which is really available here. Wasn't half bad. Not my favorite meat but with plenty of veggies and salsa I can manage it. Lol we are going to get talapia next week. And just keep trying til we find one I love. Wish shrimp counted!! I could eat them by the truck load!
  • Absolutely love the challenges for this week. If is a great way to start things off. For my personal challenge this week and since my dr recommended I add fish into my diet. I am going to try fish. As I have no fondness for it ever I am glad hubby has stepped up to the plate to make it. And here is to hoping I like it so I…
  • Good Evening. Today was an "I can" moment. To overcome "I can't" and to begin to step into another chapter. No one can ever take today away from me. No one can ever replace today's memory. Today I ran my first half marathon of 13.1 miles. I ran it in 2:46:11 with an average pace of 12:40. I had 5 total hills for a total of…
  • I don't care either way. However because of time constraints it's easier for me not to have to enter. My goal in to be 210 by the finale. I'd like to be 205. But I'll take 210. 15 lbs to go. Tomorrow is my first half marathon!
  • I would wish you luck, but I have found that luck has nothing to do with loss. So I wish you the best in finding your path... find your way to no fear.. which you obvisouly are conquering because you started to share and make the steps to be here and that is step one. to finding your way to a place of dedication. a…
  • I started my weight loss journey in January 2013 at 385 lbs. I found MFP in May at 352.2 lbs. I really count that as my starting weight. On November 16th 2013 I hit 252.2 lbs. It was just shy of 6 months to reach that first 100 lbs lost. It felt absolutely amazing!! Now im down another 26lbs and im counting down to…
  • I agree any weight is fine. Its your comfort level. I started with C25K over 350 and now at 226 am training for my first marathon. Though my mom my weight loss partner just started running at 237 because she wasn't ready 100 lbs ago. I will say find the right interval and pace that works for you. Don't worry about how fast…
  • I started here in May at 352.2 and within 2 weeks started c25K. It absolutely does work. I am now training for a marathon 7 months later. I can't stop running. I absolutely love it. the thing with c25k is you may have to repeat a week once, twice maybe three times. But if you stick through. You will get it finally.
  • I will also say that I do not eat back my exercise calories at all. I talked long and hard with my Dr. he said that until I am under 190 lbs he does not see a need for it.
  • Great question. The answer is yes you will see weight loss. I am currently 226 lbs at 5' 9". I just went a month without loosing weight when I started getting into the heavier miles. After a month plateau it finally fell off in a 10 lb leap. I have noticed that this has happened throughout my entire weight loss process. I…
  • Squats. I have a love hate relationship with these and I should really become more dedicated since they would make me a stronger runner. Tomorrow I am going to do weighted squats . I shall report back what I do :) going to watch these videos tonight too. This week is gonna be a fun filled week of running. 4 runs = 21 miles.
  • You can do it Tammie. I plateaued for almost all of December and then it just fell off. This next week is your week,
  • I am glad we will keep a thread going. It would have been nice to know the whole group was going to be on pause. I think with the holidays this time is the most important for us to stay together as a group. So 8 have to admit I can't ride a bike. Don't own a bike and don't have a gym membership. So I'm thinking this week…
  • Sounds like a fun workout. plan on doing it tomorrow :D

  • Wow what a week I have had. Work has been my workout and with as much running back and forth that I've been doing and how exhausted I am. I am surprised that I have even got up the next day. I saw the doctor earlier this week and we agreed i would take the week off minus the challenge I am doing tonight. My body was…
  • Office workout done today. Was a fun time and peeps at work thought I was crazy. I will be working very long long hours for the next 9 days. Sorry I won't be around much.
  • 1) b 2) a 3) f Those are my choices. Waiting to see if others reply before I start posting more. This week has been emotionally hard for me. Work is stressing me out and I am trying to learn to cope with it. I really believe though I'm on calorie point it's directly effecting my weight loss. I ran my 8 mile today. A hill…
