I request people that inspire me on here. That their profiles or success stories show me what I am looking for in my quest to get into shape. There may not be a lot of interaction daily but there will be where it counts. That's what this site is about.

I have one of those allergies where I react to even a trace of it. I special order some food online that I like b/c I know it's made in a nut free facility.

True. The difference between us and them is that we've stopped making excuses and are just doing it.

Agreed!

Just make sure the doctor is sympathetic to fitness desires. Some chuckle heads will not put forth the effort to try to rectify it and simply tell you to stop what's hurting you, when it can be fixed.

Three weeks a month, I see very little movement. Once a month, I drop about 5-6 lbs in one week. Slow 'n steady. It's not a weekl progress but maybe a monthly progress, depending on your body.

Yes! There will be improvement. Keep a log and note how you feel during the run. IN a few weeks, when you look back, you will be able to see how much you've improved. Just keep pushing away at it. You'll break through and get in your groove.

You need different shoes. DO NOT run on those shoes anymore. Things like blisters while running can snowball into much worse injuries. Go to a specialty running shop to get help with selecting your shoes.
