:drinker: BEST NSV!!!! *OP- i'll be running into my ex when I go home for the holdiays this year. I'm not worried, but it will probably be a little awkward. Mad prop's to you and how you handled the situation!!!

http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/#projectedweightloss Try to find your BMR using the above link. This will tell you the MINIMUM number of calories you must consume on a daily basis. I'm 5'1, 129lbs, and I'm set at just over 1500. I have lost weight by eating at this level, running, and lifting weights. Please…

How weird, I am different! I had developed pain in my knee running in "barefoot" shoes. I treated it as "runner's knee", and the pain got better until i started increasing my miles again. I finally switched to more supportive shoes, and I love running now! Plus, i seem to be trail runniing a lot, and the stability shoes…

Kettle bells are fantastic. Just google more kettle bell exercises.... only doing squats is limited, look into swinging exercises! Good for your arms/back/shoulders/core...

Oh, I don't seek approval before a purchase.... but i definatley wear it to the next get together and all of my girl friends and sisters ALWAYS notice. It's a socially approved situation "oh, is that a new sweater? I love it! Where did you get it?" Etc. :drinker:

Wow, you look great! Good job!

OP: For a filling "meal" instead of a snack, you should look into overnight oats. I am going to try these out, and I found both a great starter base, with tons of topping suggestions. NO COOKING INVOLVED. Say you get home from a 24 hour shift, throw the ingrediants into a small bowl and stick in the refridgerator... go to…

Congrats!!! Bathing suit shopping can be quite nerve-wracking, but you found success! WTG!

Yes, but it wasn't embaressing. My team leader sent me a dic-pic on "accident".... still not sure whether it was an accident or not. He thought he was a "hot" guy, but not in my opinion! :noway:

Great job! And good luck with the half marathon, just keep putting one foot in front of the other!

Healthy foods, cardio, and weight lifting. That's it. There is no way to specifically target fat, ie/ situps, crunches, etc.... those will strengthen your abdominal wall, but not burn the fat/ expose a six-pack. Good luck! Just take it one day at a time and stay patient. It will eventually happen for you!

Yeah, storage boxes are fine, as long as it's a good seal. Don't add the dressing until mealtime or the morning prior to work. I love raw baby spinach salads with anything on top: walnuts, dried cranberries, pears/apples, chicken/seafood, tomatoes, avacado... edit to add snacks: i like to make snacks the night before for…

OP: So, specifically referencing the "food" issues, like the 2 pieces of chicken and gluten free.... is your GF doing all of the grocery shopping and cooking? If so, it could be stressful to place rules and limitations on what she buys and prepares. My BF eats way more protein than i do. We worked this out by grocery…

Yes.... Yes.... Please, God, yes!

Wall pushups might not be enough... try from something else, like a chair. Also, try to do just the downward part of the pushup, with good form, very slowly. Take 10 seconds to get down to the ground. This will work the muscles in a full range of motion, without the stress of pushing back up. When you can do 10 ish slow…

I really want in, i just need to see if I can find the cord to my camera. If I don't have it, then I can't post pics..... :( I'll go look!

super speed.... because then I wouldn't have to do speed drills all the time!

Dynamic stretching is best prior to exercise, while static stretching is best when your body is warm, immediatley after exercising.

Great! Keep it up!

Have a snack. It's okay. But i notice I get "cravings" if I stay up late too. I try to tamp these down with water and a light snack. If i know I'm going to stay up later, then I eat my dinner later to stop from feeling hungry! Hope it helps!

It will always be "you guys" for me, and "pop".... It's so weird to visit other parts of the country and hear "y'all" and "soda".... i mean, doesn't that convey soda water? Lol, so weird...

Holy s***. You and I are the same person.... creepy man. Creepy.
-
Yep! Edit to say, if I was a boy, lol! You are very good looking though!

^ Yeah, Insanity is a 45-60 minute long daily workout series. If you choose to "do the program", it often means following the series of workout DVDs in the recomended order, for 60 days. OP: I did the insanity challenge for the two months before I shipped to basic training. I didn't lose weight b/c I had already lost to a…

You can see so much change in your face! Your chin looks sharper and your cheeks less puffy. Way to go! Keep up the good work.

Beautiful! Where were you hiking at?

You only need to recalculate your BMR when you have lost a significant amount of weight/inches. Good job on the 3 pounds, but don't worry about recalculating yet. Also, why are you doing no carbs? Carbohydrates are necessary for proper brain function. Just try to be balanced: healthy grains, vegitables, lean proteins,…
