Don't beat yourself up, just step up your workouts and make sure you are eating according to your bodies needs. You could always ask your doctor if you think the weight gain is related to the procedure. Your doctor can also give good advice on how many calories you should eat, types of foods that would be best, and and…

Add me too! I used this tool (http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/) to set my calorie limit. Loosing weight is really about changing how and what you eat and drink. Good luck!

^ This ^ My BS is in exercise and sport science, and truthfully ANY activity is good for you. Just eat balanced meals at a calorie deficit, and drink lots of water! Good luck!

When you go back to talk to your doctor/chiropractor, ask about abdominal strengthening exercises. A strong "front" core will help to support your low back, relieving some of the strain. But make sure you ask so that the activities you try will not further harm your back. Good luck.

On-> good smells Off-> Bad or strong smells I am so weird, but if a guy smells like soap and his shirt smells like detergent..... *ding* ready

I tend to walk at a 3.5 mph pace.... but I set the MFP calculator at 2mph to compensate for the overestimate.

Do you still have room in your calories? If so you could try making something light but a little sweet. Like vanilla yogurt, with raspberrys, and a few broken peices of dark chocolate. That should fill and satisfy. Otherwise, try eating dinner later. That's what i do.

^ I agree. I always eat some veggies before I go out to eat with my family because my family loves italian food. For that matter, i love it too, but it doesn't fit into my daily calories. :( you can do this! Don't be hard on yourself. Change takes a long time. I only started eating healthy when i moved back in with my mom,…

Welcome back and good luck! Just devote time for yourself: be that walking without the dog or whatever. Carving time for yourself to calm down might also help with the stress. Add me if you want motivation (I seem to be on here every day)!

Hey Janell, you can't really target the fat in a specific area. I've tried. It takes lowering your total body fat %. Your body picks where the fat starts to melt off first. And as for activities.... weight lifting. I'm a runner, so I would also advocate some cardio to boost your HR, but the real secret is weight lifting.…

faceoff4...dreamy... :blushing:

Maybe you should just try each one? Good luck

How would cardio bulk up your legs? That doesn't make sense. "Bulking" is an actual process that weight lifters do ON PURPOSE. It involves increasing calories and doing specific exercise/weight combinations. Any exercise you do will help you to lower your body fat %, but we don't get to choose where the fat comes from. Our…

To "get a 6-pack" you have expose the muscle you already have under the fat. That means lowering your bf%.

Bumping it!

Welcome to MFP! I feel like i'm on this site WAAAY too much, but that makes me into a decent motivator. Add me if you want someone to say "great job" when you burn calories or post below-calorie levels. BTW i'm 5'1 ~ 132lbs. I'm not looking to loose too much, but more so gain definition. But i'm also trying to become a…

Calipers can increase in accuracy when you follow the directions and use the same exact spots repeatedly. I really don't understand how a scale could possibly read how much fat:muscle ration I possess.... anyway welcome! Good job doing both insanity and p90x! You are making good changes in your body even if you can't see…

So in! 20 sec/day 1 done!

Turn your back on processed foods; they are easy to eat but hard on our bodies. I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. I hope you will find the support you need here.
