Thick ruler?

Hi there! Not sure if I'm posting in the right place, but I figured I'd try! I would like some input on my body shape, I've entered my measurements and been classified as a ruler. I've never seen any rulers with my body shape, I feel I'm quite a bit chunkier than anyone I've seen with a straight body type. I gain easily in my stomach an thighs, and my rib cage is pretty wide. I've got muscular legs, and I've been told I shouldn't run or spin if I want to make them smaller. However, I'd like to lose fat in the upper part of my body, namely lower belly and upper thighs would be awesome. So what kind of cardio should I do if I want to avoid bulking up my bulky legs?!!

I'm curious, does anyone else have this body type? If so, tips on weight loss and clothing would be awesome! :))

Thanks all :)

How would cardio bulk up your legs? That doesn't make sense. "Bulking" is an actual process that weight lifters do ON PURPOSE. It involves increasing calories and doing specific exercise/weight combinations.

Any exercise you do will help you to lower your body fat %, but we don't get to choose where the fat comes from. Our bodies regulate that. Good luck!

So I'll keep spinning and running, but should I do any legwork with weights? I've heard squats are good for burning fat (and giving you a great *kitten*), however I'm hesitant to start doing any weighted legwork too often in case of increasing leg size. Particularly calves! And onto calves - any suggestions for sculpting them, just more cardio, right?

Thanks for the good luck wish :)
