I have a unique one. I suffer from extreme cramping of my muscles when I do any physical labor after remaining sedentary for awhile. Its a problem that has gotten worse with age, and the only cure I have found is regular exercise. Then there are of course the other hundred reasons I want to stay in shape, not the least of…

Thanks for being honest in your post. Of course its somewhat different for an older man, but I can definitely relate to the frustration you are feeling. I also have been working out hard and not getting the results I would like. My advice to myself, and to you, is the six meal a day plan. Six small healthy meals of a…

Unfortunately I dont always have the time and when I skip a few days or weeks of working out I get depressed even more and then eat more. I've tried medication in the past and Ididnt like it and stopped taking them. Now I try hard to…

There is nothing wrong with you. I struggle with pretty much the same. I cant stay away from the fridge and always want to eat. That's why I am on this site. There is no doubt that logging everything is key. The other is really making up your mind that your not going to try, but your going to do. You gotta really want it.
-
You can add me also. I ruined much of my youth by not taking responsibility for myself and losing weight.
-
Well, you have lots of company here. Truth is if you REALLY stick to the plan, log everything, and do some exercise you can lose those 10 or 15 pounds. But its not easy. You have to make up your mind your going to do it. At least that's what I keep telling myself!!!

If your talking about gaining muscle, then yes it takes longer than four weeks and probably working out 5 or 6 days a week. If your talking about losing weight, yes you should have seen the weight on the scale go down at least two or three pounds minimum in four weeks if you sticking to the MFP plan. That being said, its…
