Similar vein - why do straight dudes hit on women in gay bars? Gay bars, especially in small towns, are rarely "male only", there are plenty of gay women there. Apparently you can't even go to a gay bar without people assuming the default is straight. :/

Almonds are lower in carbs, and to me after eating almonds, I can't go back to peanuts because flavored almonds are so much tastier. If you're going for a carb count as high as 100g, it doesn't make that big of a difference. Since I aim for 35g max, I always go for almonds when possible.

Haven't done any exercise at all. Plan on starting strength training when I get a little below goal weight. I'd start now, but seeing the # on the scale decrease more slowly would be kind of discouraging.

Low carb is technically anything under 100g, but 50g is better, and 25 and lower is generally considered "keto". If you don't plan on exercising in the slightest, keto is the way to go.
