  • ^ That happened to me. I was so much healthier before I was pregnant but the 1st tri really changed all my habits... and not for the good! (aka popsicles and saltines) Then when the 2nd tri hit and I felt like superwoman I was still craving the carbs that I had eaten the prior months. Try not to be hard on yourself. Yes…
  • I used Youtube too... I found that my Yoga needs/wants changed throughout my pregnancy. It was easy to change up the videos based on that.
  • I found a local cloth diaper group on FB. The ladies share so much information as well as buying/selling/swapping. I've learned so much from them as well as having a support group available when I start using CD.
  • I agree. Although I can't live without my pillows now, I'll be so glad when I don't need them. Rolling over is a major event these days.
  • I would suggest researching GD diets and information. It might help you look at your choices differently. As well as give you better options. There are much healthy nut butter options that peanut butter that taste amazing. Healthy fat isn't bad for you in moderation, and the same for healthy (naturally occurring sugars).…
  • Youtube has some great workouts. I recommend jumprope workouts... They will kick your butt.
  • I generally live by "to each their own" ... but I have to ask, what made you think posting this in the forum was a good idea? You're just looking for punishment... then again "to each their own".
  • Also, don't forget to put the pillow between your knees AND ankles! This might sound obvious, but I didn't know that until the Dr told me....LOL.
  • ^^ This... and my husband is growing found of it too!! LOL I'm 34 w and using a generic one from Target along with my king size pillow on the other side. I feel like I have bumpers around me...lol
  • Bump.... 34.5 weeks... and like the OP, need to get my butt in gear too!! Muffins are a great idea. I wonder if pancakes can be frozen? I prefer mine over store bought :)
  • Awesome job!! Sounds like you AND the boyfriend have to adjust to your new size :) You've clearly earned everyone of those compliments!!!
  • Well, I'll give you my side to this- but I warn that I'm an emotional sap. My engagement ring symbolizes something very special to me that I share with my husband only. It's the moment in time when we decided to connect our lives forever as spiritual partners. My wedding band represents my commitment to our marriage that I…
  • Amen! It's not about money anyway... something you're both happy with now and later... huge payment book shows up in the mail 30 days later, you're not going to be a happy with it. On a side note, I'm very sentimental and would never trade my ring for the world. For some guys it's a pride thing they will never get over. It…

  • I didn't have any real symptoms until 8-10 weeks and then they rushed in. At 6-7 weeks I was just tired. Good luck!
  • At my first appt my Dr gave me a height/weight chart and talked about weight gain, calorie intake, etc. I also started out in the "just barely overweight" category. (20lbs overweight at conception) I've gained 15lbs in 26 weeks. (11 being in the 2nd tri) and my Dr is completely happy with it. Not sure if it's the same for…
  • Seriously... these are amazing..... but dangerous because I can't eat just one!
  • Before I was pregnant I followed the rule of 8 cups a day plus 1 oz for every min of exercise. (Give or take a few ounces) I feel like crap if I'm under hydrated. (Now that I'm preggo, I drink 100 oz a day.. but that's diff story)
  • An hour long walk on mixed surfaces is not strenuous for a boxer, especially at that age. If your boxers are anything like ours was, they wrestle and tumbles 6 hours a day almost non-stop. He would have considered an hour walk "down-time. :) I would read up on hip dysplasia to understand the facts. Physical activity is a…
  • Jump rope! (There are awesome programs online/youtube and they will kick your butt)
  • Don't forget there are a lot of healthy sweet treats out there! Extra ripe strawberries, blueberries and pineapple are my fav. If you're craving a carb treat try oatmeal banana cookies, but beware they are addicting.
  • We're all in this together. Once I added more prego friends I felt "normal" again. Ironically, 2 of them are in the thread!! Feel free to add me. :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
  • This is all new to me... so glad I have other to ask for advice. I started out a small B but am current a bulging C at 22 weeks. (I only bought 2 C-size bras because I knew they were prob a short term thing.) It's clearly time for me to go up a size. Does it make sense for me to start buying maternity bras at this point…

  • My personal rules...even through pregnancy they are helping me: 1. Breakfast! Every day with protein and as early as possible. 2. Complex carbs and lean protein (egg whites, chicken and fish) at every meal 3. Drink water in ounces equal to 60% of your body weight in pounds PLUS 1 oz for every min of cardio. 4. Cook meals…
  • Typical guy!!!  If you're happily married you want your partner to be around a long time!
  • Oh yeah... I did that too! Also prefaced things with, "I found an awesome recipe I found". On a side note, we love turkey burgers.... but the caveat for my husband is that once in while he gets the real deal... full fat and everything.
  • From personal experience... it took years to change my husband. (We've been together 8.5 and he's still not "there") But, in his defense he was that way for 30+ years before me!...LOL One thing I learned about him is that he doesn't pre-plan and generally lives in "don't eat until I'm starving" routine, then eats until he…
  • I wondered about this a lot in the beginning too because I was big on logging everything before I got pregnant. So, here's my story: When I found out I was pregnant I adjusted by daily calories for maintenance. In the beginning I didn't log what came back up. (gross but true) but logged everything I thought stayed down. I…
  • My Dr said the same thing about overheating- but I live in Texas so it's easier said than done. I had strict orders for no outside "exercise" other than the pool for any day over 100 degrees...... Um, I think that's an easy rule since I don't even want to move when it's that hot!
  • Congrats!!! From what I've seen (and my own Drs words) it really is determined by your starting health- heart rate, blood pressure, etc and any foreseen complications in the pregnancy. So the honest truth is your doctor is the best person to have that conversation.
