I'm obviously not very good at explaining myself. I did mean going from 1200 calories per day to 1300 per day for about a fortnight. Then I was going to increase to 1400 per day for the next fortnight and keep going until I reached a calorie level that maintained my weight. Sorry if I've confused everyone.
-
Oops I meant that to say 100 extra cals per day. Gradually adjusting it up each fortnight till I'm maintaining.
-
I'm not there yet but I'm planning on adding an extra 100 cals each fortnight until I reach a stable weight.

Speaking as an Australian tourist I loved both Vegas and Honolulu.

Just cut back on the amount of chocolate I eat.

Visited my mum (who has dementia) in the nursing home this morning and she asked me if I was sick because my face looked thin. That comment is about as close to a compliment as I'll ever get from her now. But I was actually shocked that she noticed any difference in me at all.

I've also become a bit wiggly/flabby since losing weight. I'm assuming that it's just my loose skin and hopefully will tighten up a little with time. However, since I'm in my 60's maybe I'll be stuck with some loose skin - but at least I'll be healthier.

Making phone calls and then cleaning the house.

Booking more holidays - especially cruises.

To be honest when I look at old photos of myself I can't see any difference. I think I may have to work on my self image because I still can't see that I look thinner - even though I've gone down 2 to 3 clothing sizes. The only way I can tell is when I put on an old large item of clothing and it hangs off me.

Yep. I worry about it lots also.

I had it done under my chin about 5 years ago. I had a huge double chin - the family curse and now it's gone. Didn't have any problems with it but it was quite a small area that was done. Because of my age I have a bit of loose skin but it still looks heaps better than before.

Today it's my one year anniversary on MFP but I haven't done anywhere near as well as you. I'm 62 years of age and have gone down from 97 kilos (213 lbs) to 80 kilos (178 lbs) but still have another 10 kilos (22lbs) to go.. Hopefully I will make it but at least in the meantime I've gone down 3 clothing sizes and probably…

My 90 year old mother has dementia but every time I see her she makes a comment about how fat I am. Even though I've lost 16 kilos and actually weigh less than her ......... every time I see her out come the fat remarks. I know she doesn't mean it and that her "brain filter" is gone, but it still hurts.

If I go over a couple of calories and the nasty red number comes up ........... I have a fitbit and just walk around the house till the nasty red number disappears. Then I'm satisfied with both my days eating and exercise.

I've got 6 large plastic tubs of clothes that are too big in the garage but I'm just not brave enough to get rid of them. I keep telling myself that if I still haven't put any weight back on in 12 months time I'll get rid of them all. But I still have another 12 kilos to lose.

Why not just buy some Weight Watchers or Lean Cuisine meals. They only take a few minutes to microwave and the calorie counts are on their boxes. I eat lots of them and have lost weight and am healthier than I've been for a long time.

Lincoln - the only movie I've ever walked out of.

I've had 2 in the past 24 hours. Last night my diamond rings dropped off my finger while I was out. Luckily I felt them slip off and found them on the floor. No more engagement and wedding rings for me till I lose the rest of my weight and have them resized. This morning while I was out with my husband an ex-neighbour…

I ate out tonight and had the roast of the day - which was roast turkey and vegetables.

Lost 33 lbs. Took 8 months Ate 1270 calories ( don't get upset I'm 5ft 1inch and 62 years old, retired and sedentary) Half hour walk about 5 times per week - sometimes longer. Don't know how many calories burnt.
-
I have a Fitbit Zip which clips onto your clothes so I take it off at night. When I get up in the morning it will read that I've done zero steps but I've burnt so many calories. I suppose it just calculates my calorie burn based on my age, weight etc. while I'm sleeping.

Bread.

I walk outside most days but today I decided to walk on the treadmill at the gym for a change. AND while I was there I tried jogging for the first time in my life. I only did 2 bursts of 30 seconds but I was so excited that I managed to do it. Now I'll have to go back and try it again, but for longer periods of time.

Forty years ago I wore Small sized clothes. At the moment I weigh 60 lbs more - but I'm wearing size Medium. If I ever lose all this weight I'm a bit worried about what size I'll have to buy.
-
I'm 62 and walked briskly for an hour today and burnt 300 calories without any pain.
-
I get told " don't lose too much more weight - you're looking good". Except I'm still classed as obese. LOL.
-
Coffee and cigarettes. Yuck!

Yep, I'm in my 60's and things have certainly slowed down in the weight loss department.
