Thanks everyone! these all sound like great options. I also love the idea of blending in a banana or something. is 200-300 calories a good "after workout" meal? I guess I'm going to have to adjust the rest of my day so I don't go over.

they're not very accurate. They get a little more accurate if you put in your weight and height tho. The best thing to do is purchase a heart-rate monitor that can track how many calories you burn during your workout if you're really nervous about under/over eating. I have the nike+ training thinger and that estimates my…

i was on the swim team in college and they made us do a triathlon. 1000 yard swim, 12 mile bike, 2 mile run. being a swimmer, i took it easy on the swim part....kicked *kitten* on the bike....and failed miserably on the run haha. (but i wasn't last!) I'm now training for a 5k and have given some thought to doing another…

are you trying the "girl pushup" (knees on the floor)? i could hardly do a military style push up when i was in shape! they're hard stuff. start out doing a girl pushup and work your way up. you'll get there!

i have those days sometimes too. I think as long as you only eat back half of your exercise calories you should be fine. and if you had a headache, your body probably needed some carbs/water. try not to stress too much and just do what feels right for your body.
-
i was the same way when i first started. you'll see after a while there will be days you'll eat almost all of your calories. im usually between 1000 and 1200 and i only eat back my exercise calories if i'm hungry or I go out to dinner. your welcome and good luck!
-
are you trying to eat back your exercise calories or not? but anyway...try to eat small healthy snacks throughout the day. (almonds, apples, oranges, bananas, etc). just try not to be under 1200 calories.

AWESOME!! you look great! seeing this kinda stuff keeps me motivated. you should be super proud :) Thanks for sharing!

fajitas are your best bet. just stay away from sour cream, rice, and cheese. just do chicken/steak, beans, vegis, hot sauce. also, don't eat alot of chips.

YAY!!! awesome job! that's a sweet time!!!! and congrats on not walking! :D I'm running my first official 5k race in june and i can't wait. good luck on ur next race! you'll do great

its not really a recipe but i like to grill my fish (tilapia, shrimp and flounder mostly) keeps the calories low. I just add a little bit of salt and pepper and some lemon.

I personally don't believe in cheat days. I feel like if you're changing your lifestyle there's no room for cheat days. That being said, If I go out for dinner with my boyfriend or go out with my friends, I may go alittle overboard but I don't blow the whole day. I try to make the best choices I can given the circumstances…

it all starts in your mind. what's bothering you? can you control it? other then that, try taking up a hobby. Sometimes I play tetris just to keep myself busy so im not worrying about other stuff and wanting to eat.

first off, muscle weighs more than fat so that could be part of the problem. Also, try staying away from the sodium and try no eating your (exercise) calories back. you could have hit a plateau. you could try a different exercise too. eat more protein, more fiber.

I LOVE indian food. I recently had some with my friend and the calories weren't that bad. There's chicken tikka masala ( chicken in an orangey kinda sauce...around 200cals per serving) and then there's chicken makhani (which is chicken cooked in butter and not very healthy so stay away from that) I'm sure the lamb is…

Mostly I changed my settings so my protein would be 30%. I think then it changed my fat to 15%. I was never over on fat before and i'm by no means super concerned or have a phobia of fat I just thought it seemed kinda hard to stay around 15%. The majority of my fat was being eaten up by the 1/4 of a cup of almonds i'd have…

1% cotttage cheese and pineapple!!! SO yummy. high protein, low fat.

First, I would try to avoid using the word "diet" all together. This should be a lifestyle change for you that once you're comfortable with the weight that you get to, you can stay there without having to worry everyday. Try to only let the numbers be a guide. You should find a weight that you feel good at. After all, they…

drink 8-10 glasses of water a day. drinking ice cold water will boost your metabolism. Also, try to eat smaller meals more frequently throughout the day. Eat more protein and fiber....that'll help you fill up more. good luck!

How much exercise are you doing? I'd suggest strength training and cardio. I've lost 9lbs and I can see a difference in my stomach but that's because I've been running or doing jillian michaels 30 day shred 4-5 days a week. don't get discouraged! you're doing great :)
-
cardio is a must. walking, swimming, biking, elliptical, etc. You also probably want to do some strength training. Maybe get a personal trainer or do some research online. I did some of Jillian Michaels 30 day shred and I saw results after a week if you're on a budget. happy exercising!
-
i completely agree! diets are no good. lifestyle change all the way!

I workout after I get out of work (6:30ish) and I haven't eaten since lunch so I usually eat a Kashi bar or one of those nature valley peanut bars. I don't think its horrible not to eat before you workout but I definitely feel better if I do. If i don't eat before I workout, I usually have a tablespoon of peanut butter on…

yea, you can't choose where you lose your weight from. i think it's one of those things that if you're "blessed", you'll keep them. if not, they're going to shrink like the rest of you.
-
thanks for posting this! i was just wondering today what were the benefits of drinking 8+ glasses a water a day.
-
you have the best recipes! can't wait to try this one!
-
try switching up your cardio or just going harder. Have you tried Jillian Michael's 30 day shred? I did that for about a week and felt like I saw a difference in my midsection immediately ( i could see my ribs more clearly and i felt like my flat tire started to go away). But yea, i wouldn't get too discouraged about…

are you doing any cardio? I heard that helps get rid of tummy fat

they have a char-gilled chicken sandwich. I used to eat that when i dieted the first time. ask if you can get something instead of the french fries tho.

dang! awesome job! I'm glad you finally found what works for you :)
