For an effective recovery drink, you want a 4:1 ratio of carbohydrates to protein. Chocolate milk fits this bill quite nicely and is cheap and good tasting.

Perhaps a bagel w/ some peanut butter would be good? Also, I have found that Knudsen makes 100 calorie cottage cheese doubles that are fairly tasty and filling. They consist of cottage cheese and fruit.
