When I got my HRM I found that the site was pretty accurate (but I was always modest when entering my exercise in). But if you want accuracy make sure to get a heart rate monitor. Made me feel more confident in how many calories I could consume.

I don't think so. Although weight loss should ultimately be something we do for our health, it increases our confidence when others notice or when we feel better about our outer appearance. P.S. Is it snowing by Edmonton too?

I think somewhere Jillian says you should use between 3 and 5 lbs (3 to start out). Personally I used 5 lbs, but I would say I have decent upper body strength.

I had one to diagnose Celiac's Disease. They convinced me to not use sedation (then I wouldn't be out for the whole day). It didn't hurt, but it was really uncomfortable. They blow air into your stomach when the tube is in your throat, so you burp and gag all at the same time. Its really attractive! You hate it while its…

I have Celiac's diseases (no wheat, rye and barley products) so it can be hard to eat out. Which is Good!! Allergies force you to cook for yourself and eat out a bit less. By doing so, it is easier to control what is going into your body and to monitor your caloric intake. Plus the nutritional stuff (fruits, veggies, lean…

I miss camping! Its a little to brisk now in Canada, so take advantage of your nice weather! Anyways, when I go camping I like making foil packets with lots of veggies, some lean meat (chicken sausage maybe?) and potatoes or yams. Cook them on the fire. There are tons of ways you can make these lean and everyone loves them.

Some people only go to level 2 when they deem that they are ready. I just did 10 days of each, and I found that it pushed me harder, or else I would have stayed at level 1 forever.

Before you go gluten free you should talk to your doctor and get tested for Celiac's disease. Once you are gluten free, the Celiac's test becomes invalid, and you might get false negatives. Good luck!

Don't wear it all day. Just wear it when you are exercising to accurately measure how many calories you burned. MFP has already estimated how many calories you burn in the day based on your lifestyle.

I have Celiac's disease and I am huge advocator for getting tested properly. Although it might just be a sensitivity, I would definitely make sure you get tested for Celiac's as well (1/100 people have it). To do it properly, you need to KEEP eating gluten up until the test, and it is a simple blood test. In Canada it is…
