Totally do-able :-) If motivation is your problem, join a class, I am a big fan of boot camp classes, but I hear cross-fit are also very good. They rapidly improve fitness, and keep you motivated. You do see rapid results :) good luck!

it is... I should do that... but hated taking photos of myself when I started.. silly really when I look back, as it would have been an excellent method of comparison

Haha, they really do lie :) Hmm, I hadnt realised that about muscles retaining water after a workout-- would explain a lot !

Allowed up to 1500, I eat up to 1800 but only on bootcamp days.

heh heh, great post :D and the answer is yes, sometimes up by 2 kilos (roughly 4 lbs) and it stays for the week :S and sometimes it comes on the week before.
