  • It is usually before cooked measurement. When I make my steel cut oats 1/4 cup of oats combined with 1 cup of water makes almost a cup of cooked oats.

  • We go through a couple of jars of peanutbutter a week in my house. I only buy Teddy old fashion unsalted the only ingredient is peanuts. For a sweet treat I mix 1 cup of that with 1 cup of powdered sugar, 1 egg and 1/3 cup of oats. roll into balls, flatten & bake @ 350 for about 10 mins. yummy peanut butter cookies.

  • Didn't get to check in yesterday, but I got in my 3 miles on the elliptical and passed my goal.

  • One of my family's favorite holiday side dishes. Cook fresh mushrooms in a non-stick skillet with a little water until wilted. Drain and then return to pan with a little EVOO, fresh minced garlic and red pepper flakes and cook until browned.
