Going to start a mini mini goal for myself to get myself started again: everyday this week starting tomorrow I will walk the entire campus during my lunch hour.

Don't forget when you exercise and lift you are burning fat but gaining muscle, you have to take that in account when you weigh yourself. I too was stuck on the same pounds forever. So what did I do ? I stopped lifting ate within my calorie ranges and rode my stationary bike in intervals for an hour everyday. Since then I…

I have never been diagnosed with depression myself, but I know the signs and have learned to live with the person I am and can become, most importantly being honest with myself. I mean is that I have come to term with my feelings about myself and know I don't want to be that person or feel a certain way. It was five years…

I could only imagine it is similar surgery to a c-section. You can probably use a sitting stationary bike, an elliptical. check with your doctor before you start any vigorous exercises. I suffer from my gall bladder, but I am trying to manage my diet and weight hoping to opt out of the surgery, since you have to follow the…

Thanks for all your responses. Im known as the "know it all" in the family, so I gave her my thoughts and support. It is my sister's journey. I know she will have to reevaluate her diet at some point and realize 30 lbs in 30 days is not a realistic goal given her lifestyle ( work, kids, fatty foods, high blood pressure,…

Mt sister approximately weighs 250. Im going to support her either way. It would be nice to run with someone every now and then. But the chocalet donuts and soda have to go if she isserios.

What you have accomplished is amazing. I too started at 195. In 5 months I lost 12lbs. I wish I can say I was where you are today. Looking at your pics gives me motivation to keep pushing. To be honest you dont look like you need to lose 20more lbs. But good luck on that as well. You can do it.

Looking good, it does not look like you had a baby pooch to start.

My scale and I love hate each other. I tell it leave me alone and he calls me every morning.

You look amazing but I am so sorry the couch behind you in the first picture did you no justice either. It actually looked like an additional butt. lol. No more pics in front of couches. lol

Im not on meds but I have anxiety of all sorts. What I found which works for me is keeping busy. Doing something positive towards my life. I went back to school because of my thoughts. I graduated with my BA this past May. Believe me the books and studying dont give the mind time to wonder. Stay busy is my advice. Lots of…

I had an injured knee and got pregnant very shortly after my surgery. I went through PT under dr care. Eight hours a day for my first trimester I walked the tredmill, used a stationary bike and lifted weights sitting up (no more than 15-25 lbs). Squats were definitely out of the question. For the 2nd tri I walked and swam,…

Okay so you can not spot reduce but you can still do certain exercise which works the area. Try suma squats, squat against the walk and hold, kickboxing kicks, legs lifts as if you are stepping over a table.

Nope, you are not alone. Working on losing my belly. Im actually happy with my butt and legs, I just with my belly would catch up.

With all honesty, I watch extream makeover and many of thos people started in the 300s or more and they all needed a skin reduction. Not sure where you started but get with your doctor and see f you will need one and what you need to do to become a candidate for the surgery if need be.

Sorry to here about your son, cannot imagine such a loss, but Im sure he is better now. As for me, my father is terminal, every night I keep my phone near by because I dont know when the call will come through. I exercise sometimes to keep ky mind from wobdering. Add me if you like. Good luck on your journey. Its time you…

My kids eat the school lunch, the lunches are measured to meet the nutritional value. My kids are happy with the school lunch and so am I. At school the kids are given yogurts, wheat bread and protein. And most of all, it saves me time from having to pack lunches.

When the going gets tough, you get tougher! No excuses! You can do this, you owe it to yourself, do it for yourself! Thats what I tell myself, it helps when I get mad. I have no room for helplessness in my life. Im not wired that way.

Never posted pics on MFP before but I am in. The only thing I am experimenting whether I should eat at my 1300 or so calories or increase my calories inorder to burn pounds. Either way Im in.

I have a 13, 8, and a almost 2 yr old when they all get crabby, noisy, or when the world hits me and I need to breath I put all my boys to nap, even the 13 yr old. I take that time for myself.

I use my small patio. I have a weight system, bike, hand weights and a mat. When I am not using my patio I am running my neighborhood or at the park

It takes time. For example its been three months here and lost 5lbs only but went from sz 16 to 12. I am trying to figure out how ti drop lbs.
-
Im in the same boat with one foot in the water. My scale refuses to move but inches are dropping and I gained lots of muscle. What I am going to do as of today I lowered my calorie intake to 1300 and continue workingout. I know my wkouts are working because Ive gained muscle so I figured it must be what or how much I am…
