  • I think you have plenty!
  • I like nutragen asunscreen, but I also usually wear a cap as well. I think it's the sensitive skin brand 70 spf
  • I lost over a 100 lbs at least 10 years ago and I am always cold and it hasnt changed or gotten better. I also live in New England, which is similar weather to Buffalo, and pretty much if it is under 80 degrees I am cold! And my fingers get blue and at times I get reynauds in my fingers......
  • Agreed!!!! We can't decide either and I am pretty much planning on using my fav name since he gets to choose the last name by default!!!!
  • It seems like all the hard work you do during the week is getting undone over the weekend. Even HRM arent exact, so you could be overestimating your burn. Do you log the drinks?? Maybe if you prelog your alcohol, and then calculate your deficit for the week rather than each day, and see if you are still at deficit. Its…
  • As others have mentioned its the deficit that matters, but keeping that in mind, whichever way you can stick to your diet also. If I eat clean, I tend to do better sticking to my plan. If I eat "junk" even if it fits it to my daily deficit, I tend to crave more junk, and then I end up going over my initial plan and dont…
  • mine was wrong....
  • Agreed!!!! Also I would ditch the juice and save the calories for a piece of fruit later in the morning. Like others have suggested, you can make hard boiled eggs ahead of time so they take no time at all. You can make egg salad or eat the egg whites, or once they are hard boiled you could even peel them and run under hot…
  • ^^THIS! I agree there is nothing wrong with NROLW but I found it to be too long and too complicated. I much prefer stronglifts over NR. I dont particulary care for lifting, I would rather go for a run, so I would much rather do 3 moves than 4 or 5 or more....
  • That blood was blue since the veins on your wrist look blue from outside, and that when the blood "hit the air" it turned red....
  • ^^^ This!!! I agree also that if you can, omit the juice in place for the actual fruit....
  • Besides all the good advice you have already gotten, a couple more t hings to consider: How are you estimating your burn? What are you doing to burn 600-1000? Do you use HRM or BOdymedia device to estimate burn? SEcond, do you weigh/measure everything that goes into your mouth and count it in your diary??
  • it depends what it is. Most food is easier to weigh than measure. If for example, you were eating 1tbsp cottage cheese and they only give you 1/3 cup, you can try to find another option under cottage cheese where they give you grams or ounces, and do it that way. Or if they give you 1/3 cup and you eat 1tbsp and 5tbs +…
  • I think you have to play around a little. Most OB's recommend 1/2 a lb a week after 12 weeks or so. When i put in my maintenance into MFP that gave me 1900 cals per day, and even though I didnt always eat 1900, but less, and never ate back exercise calories, I have gained on avg. 2lbs per week :( Sometimes irregardless of…
  • I dont think that running would be an issue for you, even at 20 weeks. I agree falling would be a concern. My concern would be any things that require crawling on your belly. I did a obstacle course race and there was at least 2-3 obstacles that required crawling through tunnels and no way could I not be on my belly. That…
  • Asics! I have tried nike, reebok, mizuno, brooks, and saucony and prefer asics. I love the gel nimbus and gel cumulus!
  • I totally love peanut butter more than almond butter, but I agree almond butter is less addicting!
  • what frustates me the most is that I am eating at maintenance, not even adding additional calories, and eating pretty healthy and still I have gained 26 lbs and I am only 22 weeks. :(
  • hah! this is me. At my first, my husband, mother and MIL where all there. This time MIL is def. not invited. The hospital has a 2 person restriction, although they dont really enforce it too much. I am still not sure if my 7 yr old will be there or not. I dont want to scare her, but if she wants to be there, I will let…
  • The Hangmans Daughter by Oliver Postch (?sp)
  • I saw that also and was surprised, but they said they measured 3 different ways....
  • I had a "period" with my first pregnancy when I was about 8 weeks. It was pretty heavy and I thought I was miscarrying, but us confirmed everything was ok. Sometimes with insertion of the fetus after conception there can be bleeding and it may not actually present for a month or two. Either way no matter what if you are…
  • Had my 21 week US today. Definitely having a boy! Everything looks good. Baby is almost 1 lb. Still feeling nauseous and now getting heartburn. Oh joy....
  • I would say the weight that you were when you found out, so 202.
  • I gave up my coke zero for lent this year and last year. Last year even after 6 weeks of not drinking it, I still craved all the same sweets that I always did. It didnt help me to lose weight by not drinking it, and I didnt feel any better. I will still drink one a day when lent is over and enjoy it. TO each his own!

  • hmm.. Not sure about that.. I know that nausea can last for some people throughout pregnancy, I just didnt expect it to go away for a couple weeks and then come back.... Thanks ladies!
  • good question!! I have been sort of casually looking for a new job, but since I am pregnant I just dont feel like its the best time. I am almost 21 weeks, but I think its pretty obvious, and I would not want to hold that info from a potential employer. While I know that they can't discriminate against due to pregnancy, I…
  • Agreed^^^ I absolutely LOVEEEEE peanut butter. I have often wanted to eat the whole jar to see how much I could actually eat before I get sick/full, but I am afraid I could eat the whole jar. Anyway, I dont usually weigh my PB because I did once and I have blocked that experience out. 2 tbsp full is much more than 28g the…
  • That is such a tough spot to be in. What happens after the baby is born? There alot of visits to the pedi the first year after birth?? What about talking to social services down there? I would make sure that you know all the foods you need to avoid as well as taking the prenatal vitamins. Just go spend some time at the…
