  • Full-time student, been on here for quite a while. :) It's possible to lose weight while studying! Good luck. :)
  • Impressive! Congratulations. You look great. (And, that was some mighty good writing.)
  • There is only one reason you're not be losing weight, and it's that you're eating too many calories. I had a quick glance at your diary. You're probably underreporting your calories or overestimating the portions (if you're not weighing). Either that, or there's calories in something else you're consuming but not putting…
  • Whether or not you eat breakfast is entirely up to you. If you feel fine without it, then why fret? That said: there's days when I'm not hungry in the morning and I skip breakfast on those. On days like that I just have a coffee with some soy milk in it and that usually keeps me 'full' until around lunchtime.
  • You can do this! ;) It's amazing that you decided to step up and take control over your life and body. Keep going. It will pay off in ways you couldn't imagine before. Support from family and friends is amazing - but remember: you're doing this for yourself, not to please anyone else! Good luck!
  • Oh, this looks good! I'll have to see if I can make a no-lactose version somehow, though...
  • Yes. It's 'worth it'. Why would you even time how long you've been going uphill? I'm guessing your initial goal was to see/enjoy the lake... Hell, I'd be walking around that lake all evening. Maybe even camp there. Sounds great. 'Worth it' seems like such an understatement.
  • Hi! I'm 167 cm tall. 1500 cal/day would maintain my weight (sedentary), so I'm doubting that you'll lose more kilos unless you're really active. Have you calculated your Basic Metabolic Rate?
  • Hi! I've grown up with Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings, and I'm a big fan of the Hobbit movies. I love reading fantasy (currently reading Wise Man's Fear). But during a lot of free evenings, my time goes to Guild Wars 2. ;)
  • Chocolate and baked chips are really tempting... Healthier cravings of mine include oatmeal (with raisins, slices of pear and cinnamon!) and fruit - watermelon being my favourite. But give me a whole package of cherry tomatoes and it'll be gone in seconds, too... ;)
  • And don't freak out if you gain a few pounds around the time of your period. It's water weight, and it comes back off within a week. ;)
  • I usually associate those feelings with eating too many carbs in one serving/day. Even if one bag of Lay's Baked fits in my diet for a given day, it'll still make me feel drowsy, grumpy and lethargic afterwards.
  • I love asparagus! I clean them, put them in a dish with a little water, put plastic foil over it and pop a few holes in it. Then microwave for a few minutes. Add salt and pepper. Delicious!
  • EU size 34, which is where I'm at at the moment! (UK 6 - US 2)
  • My weight increases by 2-3 pounds every time, around 2 days before my period. It then magically disappears by the next week. :/ (I weigh myself weekly, not daily.)
  • Your body needs a certain amount of calories to function. This is called the "BMR" (Basic Metabolic Rate). For me, this is 1250 cal. Then, there's "the rest" that the body needs to do basic daily stuff. For me, the total is around 1500 cal for just sitting down and studying/gaming/reading all day. Add in light exercise…
  • If you feel like you can take it on, then go for it! Your body will surely let you know when you go over the limit. As for diet; it's good that you stick to such a low goal, but exercising heavily at the same time means that you càn eat something in between 1200-1400 cal. Don't go too far below that, as it might lead to a…
  • Obesity Index 18bmi Below average You have a lower BMI than 93% of females aged 15-29 in your country Global You have a lower BMI than 84% of females aged 15-29 in the world Did you know? If everyone in the world had the same BMI as you, it would remove 74,420,999 tonnes from the total weight of the world's population…
  • Pretty sure we're all allergic to air. Expected lifespan, on average: 76 years.
  • Yes; it's more than just a little spotting. It keeps going for a few days, steadily bleeding. Then it stops again, and disappears for a week or two. I'll go see a doctor for it, thank you Kathie. :) And no, cwolfman13, I'm not 'freaking out'. It was a genuine question, that's all. 0,60kg is 1,3 pounds. I do keep track of…
  • I usually eat 3 meals a day and then snack whenever I feel hungry. 'Portioning' my meals doesn't work, however! I can't just eat one plate of a salad if it only has 75 calories in it. I usually stick to eating at least 300 calories with every meal, unless I'm saving up for something. Today, for example, I had an apple for…
  • 11.4 lbs; a well-fed average housecat!
  • Hi! Ideally, you shouldn't have those moments. But, who am I kidding - everyone has these every once in a while. Whether or not it influences your weekly weight loss, depends of the food you eat. If you binge on a large plate of veggies - that seems fine. What kind of foods do you binge on? You can compensate by exercise.…
  • You might indeed be retaining water (probably also because you're eating a LOT of processed foods, which contain a LOT of salt...) but judging by your diet, I'm thinking you're just eating way too many calories to lose weight. Your diet needs to be changed - and I don't mean "just to lose weight". If you continue eating…
  • It looks like it might be a combination of a lot of different things, and people here have already given you a summary of those. ;) - You're probably retaining weight because of the lack of bowel movement. The lack of bowel movement is influenced by your food; you're not eating fruits/vegetables and most of your calories…
