Whats one food you cant live without??

My family is mainly Itailan on my dads side and there's a little on my moms side. And the Itailan in me screams "No!" At the meer idea of losing my pasta. I know I'm going to have to cut down because I'd be all too happy to eat buttered noodles and all kinds of pasta as a meal. But the calories in pasta is insanely high. I have a hard time saying no to it. Pasta is my down fall lol! What food do you have a hard time saying no too? Or have a hard time cutting down on?

    I'm a muffin and licorice addict, but I'm out of both, and dont plan on allowing anymore into the house!

    My tastes have seriously changed since I started changing the way I eat. Half the time my 'cheat' meal doesn't sound anywhere near as good as my go-to meals.

    I can't live without my salads, with lots of olives and pickles and cheeses and grilled meat. I eat it at least once a day and I'm in heaven. My boyfriend laughs at me because I'll eat straight lettuce as a snack.,,

    Oh, and donuts. :D

    Chocolate and baked chips are really tempting... Healthier cravings of mine include oatmeal (with raisins, slices of pear and cinnamon!) and fruit - watermelon being my favourite. But give me a whole package of cherry tomatoes and it'll be gone in seconds, too... ;)

    If you love pasta but not the calories, try Fiber Gourmet pasta. 1/2 the calories of regular.

    Thanks I'll try that for sure. I crave pasta, the calories are just so high!

    For me, it has to be popcorn. I never use butter, just cook it in a pan and add a bit of salt, but oh so yummy!

    Wow - well - there's a bunch of foods I have to have on hand: coffee, eggs, Greek yogurt, a LOT of fresh fruit and veggies and Morningstar faux chicken patties

    Meat! I could never be a vegetarian...
    Probably more specifically steak...
  • Pre-"trying to lose weight" it was potato chips. Especially the Ruffles cheddar & sour cream, or any of the Cape Cod ones. I seriously could eat an entire bag without even realizing it. About four years ago, I pretty much had to just ban any type of potato chip from the house. For me, it's the only way I can do it.

    My one junky-ish food that I haven't managed to cut out (or even cut back) is half & half. Nothing better in my morning coffee. :drinker:

    Healthy go-to foods? Grapefruit. Raw green beans & bell peppers. Raw almonds. HUMMUS, omgosh hummus of any kind. Lots of other things I love, but those are my must-haves, at least every other day.
