Yesterday I did grilled chicken breast/ wing and green beans from KFC. Hit the spot for my craving for "fast food." Turkey breast on nine grain bread, no cheese, no mayo, and lots of veggies at Subway is a good one for me too.

I don't anything about them, but what are your concerns? If there's nothing that you are allergic to in them, and they fit your macros than enjoy them!

It's great that you are getting started on a healthier lifestyle! Welcome to MFP! I hope the link to the thread about detoxes is very helpful for you! I actually decided to do a "green smoothie detox" last summer and lost 10 pounds (water weight) in one month. Of course, it was completely unnecessary and I should have…

Let's say you have tiny bones- it may be helpful to refer to the Asian BMI calculator as it is lower because many Asian people are smaller framed. Based on that scale, a healthy/BMI is 18.5-22.59. You are at 19.5. If you get down to 45 kg (99 pounds) you will be underweight on the ASIAN BMI scale, which is already scaled…

You were already pretty, but WOW!! You look incredible! I bet you feel incredible too!

Just checked out your before and after pics- what a transformation! Do you know how to include them here?

Great advice and great success!! Congrats!

From what I've read around here, weight loss is not linear. You will not lose weight every single week, and if you do it won't be the same amount. You may want to use other metrics like measurements, pictures, and how you fit your clothing to help you for the weeks when the scale is stuck or moves slightly upwards.

Reyonce, your diary is closed. I hope you're feeling calmer about things. I also hope you see that normal fluctuations are par for the course. Please don't put a lot of undue stress on yourself. Are your targets gradual and allow for normal fluctuations? If 2 pounds is a "massive setback" and people can easily gain 2-5…

Correct, you will lose one pound with deficit of 3500- eventually anyway, once you smooth out any sodium/water retention, hormonal changes, digestive/elimination processes, etc.

I can see the 33,000 calories leading to major weight gain. It is almost the equivalent of 10 pounds in calories. But an extra 220 equals 300 pound weight gain! LOL!!
-
You look amazing!! Now to maintain!
-
Congrats on the weight loss! I have a few questions for you! So for 6 months, you only ate one solid meal a day? How many calories a day were you eating altogether? Will you keep this eating plan up for maintenance as well?
-
Amazing transformation!!! WOW, 2.5 pounds a week on average, huh? Did that feel okay to your body along your journey? I know 1 pound a week is recommended. How much are you able to eat for maintenance?
-
Congrats!! 2 years and great results!
-
What a great milestone!

Awesome job! I've been doing my measurements around the waist as well and am 4 inches down. That sure feels good!

I drink a smoothie for breakfast but have to have an early lunch because I am really hungry by then. If you are not eating any solid food for lunch or breakfast than you may feel like you are starving by the time it gets dark. I have (had?) the same problem with eating over my calories after 10:00. Now, I budget 900…

OP, don't get discouraged! It can be difficult not to see immediate changes. Keep eating below your deficit and you will get there! PP, you do know that you don't need to exercise to lose weight as long as you are in a deficit right? By all means, add exercise to be healthier if you want though.
-
You look like a completely different person. Job well done!!
-
I know you didn't ask me, but the OP's diary is open. I took a quick look and I see fruits, veggies, granola, pizzas, Cake, and other yummy stuff! 2500 or something like that calories a day.
-
You're doing an awesome job!! You look great. Keep pushing forward!
-
Congrats! Keep going, you are definitely on track to reach your goal!

As a mama of four who didn't use to eat breakfast, I do make smoothies for the work week for breakfast, but I eventually plan to start doing overnight oats or something like that. For a blender full (2 servings) I use 1 cup kale, 1 medium banana, 1 cup greek yogurt, 1 cup unsweetened almond milk, and either a few…

It's 4 miles for me. I've hit 10,000 a couple times (like today!). I went for a 3 mile (1 hour) walk with the kids, and I cleaned and then for the last 500 I danced around while watching TV. Another day I did it by walking around and around at the office while reviewing documents; walking while waiting for my clients (10…

This is what happens to me. I have managed not to increase my calories this time around so if I can keep that up, I'll have a good drop once this is all behind me. It's frustrating because DH is watching his weight too and he sees consistent losses but I'm pretty much "on hold" or if I don't watch it, gaining, for almost 2…

I was doing this a lot when I first joined MFP. I found out my goal was too low so I would end up overeating after days of undereating. Based on your ticker you have 81 pounds to lose and are 215+ but your daily calories are only around 1600? I weigh 177, work out for 30 minutes 3 days a week, have a sedentary job and am…

Welcome Back!! Your story was very inspirational! You did an amazing job. I know you'll reach your goal again. I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your brother and your injuries, but you're getting back on track now!

Beautiful story.

You win!! This is a very encouraging thread for those of us staring 40 in the face!
