  • hahaha, I'm sure she does. She seems very knowledgeable and I appreciate her and everyone's input on my questions. Y'all are so great! I think I'm just afraid that 5 sets are too many for me, and I really think it's just beginner's fear. I'm going today (cross your fingers for me) for my first time to actually get under…
  • Haha, I have done that! And unless they were in the same burpee challenge as me, I destroyed them in burpees. We even got crazy and got together for a 1,000 burpee's in 24hrs party. My Spartan group was crazy.
  • Thanks for all of this! Okay, I've watched tons of videos and had my girls video my form which I think I have FINALLY got pretty decent. However, I've never heard of break at knees nor hips. I've heard to keep the bar parallel to the mid foot, keep you back straight and chest out, head neutral, inhale on down, exhale when…
  • This made perfect sense. However, I was going to use the same weights and moves as SL but just the less amount of sets for the start. Would that be okay? Or is the 5x5 a better way to go? I guess I will try the 5x5 and see how I feel. I think after you stall the 3rd time, then they move you to 5x3. I just thought it would…
  • Holy mother of ... my thighs hurt! Yeah I've definitely got the right form now! I'm joining the gym today! I'm so nervous. Guess it's time to stop playing and start lifting! So proud of you for getting down on Level 2, cause i know that one was brutal, but yes, it was fun too. If i recall correctly, I think level 3 was the…
  • I am really nervous too! I keep envisioning myself face down at the gym squirming with a bar on top of me. But as I've heard before, they are there for the same reason as you. They are concentrating on their routine and you should concentrate on yours. I'm signing up for my gym membership today and then I'm just going to…
  • I did 100 burpees everyday for a good while, it was a challenge, and I was flexing quite often haha. Thanks for the warm welcome!
  • Thanks guys! I used a foam roller last night and did some stretching so that helped. Canadianlbs, I have heard how easy you can tear up your knees doing incorrect squats and so I've watched a ton of videos (on all the lifts pretty much lol) and read as much as I could about proper form. My husband said that since I was so…
  • My husband works at farm supply store and so he grabbed the fence posting, cut it to size and brought it home. It's light, maybe 6 lbs, but perfect for getting the form correct :) I heard they sell barbells at walmart though
  • Level 2, look at y'all go! Woot! Planks are never fun lol. I got a practice bar for lifting weights and think I'm doing pretty well. It's a little heavy, but I mostly got it to get the form down first, but I was still sweaty by the time I was done lol. I guess I need to grab that gym membership now
  • Hey everyone! I'm glad I'm not the only newbie here haha. I'm just pracaticing form and trying to be sure I'm getting it all right till I actually get to the gym. But I'm really excited. I'm ready to love weight lifting!
  • I understand how much just a simple, "don't give up" can go such a long way for someone. So I'm staying haha ;) I'm hoping to start lifting weights the week of Halloween, maybe after.. but soon! I have a head full of knowledge now and slightly know what I'm doing lol
  • I'll still be around ;) and I will tell you all about it for sure. Right now I'm just reading everything I can and watching videos on form. But Hubby said he is in and we are going to do it!
  • I don't enjoy being insulted, nor find it motivating. However, I understand where you are coming from. If someone crushed me, and it's happened to us all, I would throw my all into an activity to stay busy. Thankfully you chose fitness ;)
  • Hey guys, so I'm dropping the shred for two reasons. One, I shouldn't of started with the 5lb weights because my back and arms are still very stiff. And two, I'm resting my muscles for starting the Stronglifts 5x5 program! I'm excited, but nervous. However, I'll still cheer you on! Congrats for making it to level 2…
  • here you go... this was day 1,8,15 all in level one.
  • Had great results. Did each level 15 days, until I was ready to move on. I just had a little to lose and was mostly trying to tone things up. I am back on level one, starting it up again but only twice a week as I'm running now as well. Do it, it's amazing. I will never forget L1D7 when I smoked the whole routine and…
  • Yep, me too! And inches.. lbs was few, but I loved the changes
  • I can't quite remember level two, but yeah.. it's gonna be harder. I seem to recall "walking push-ups".. either way, you'll get it!
  • Week #2 of October, but my first week of the challenge. -October 13-19- Goal 150 mins Mon: Nada :( Sad Panda Tues: 20mins 30 day shred/20mins dancing w/kids/ 10mins/push-up challenge Wed: Thurs: Fri: Sat: Total 50/min left/100
  • You will post those after pictures! I know you will! Great job on the progress, wait till you hit day 7, it's such a difference!
  • I did day one yesterday and lord did I forget how much "fun" it was.. sarcastically speaking of course. I think I need to start with the 3lb weights as the 5lbers nearly killed me. I run today so Thursday will be my next shredder day. I'm hoping to finish this program, but I'm going to start weight lifting soon so I'm not…
  • Week #3 of October, but my first week of the challenge. -October 13-19- Goal 150 mins Mon: Nada :( Sad Panda Tues: Wed: Thurs: Fri: Sat: Total 0/min left/150
  • When I first started running, jogging really, I was at an 18 min mile and I didn't care because it was something. Then I made a 12 min mile, which was my fastest and I was stoked. recently, I'm not sure, prob 10 or so
  • I'm starting the shred back up today! Might do it every other day since my running plan is on the table with this freezing weather. My asthma would have a field day with cold runs lol.
  • Sent my request, I have about 10 or so lbs to lose
  • Mine isn't the same exact C25K program, but I am on an interval program to take me to 10k, basically the same thing, only longer. Add me if you'd like. I love lacing up my running shoes! Well, not lace exactly since mine are those nifty bungee laced on clouds.
  • Love it!
  • Yeah those first few days are murder haha. I remember it very clearly. Those pushup's especially, I've never had a lot of upper arm strength. I'm running as well. I will only have the shred on my schedule twice a week and run the other three days. I might bump that up, we will see how my hubby and I feel.
