The calories count even if you don't log them . Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I expect I will have to watch what I eat the rest of my life .Eating all I wanted is what got me fat in the first place Good luck

I know what you mean , I have lost around 50 and saw myself the other day on cctv , I still looked fat because I am I guess still have 40 or so pounds to loose ,, I guess we have to Remember we lose weight but don't regain our youth , also clothes make difference Good luck

Im not sure living better is the way to look at it . i love food but have to learn to eat what by body needs and not more than that . Right now its a little bit less because im trying to lose weight . I think we all have some kind of light bulb that goes off that says im ready ,, like i want to be able to wipe my butt lol…

it seems to me that as we age we need less calories so it is easier to lose when we are young and more active . i dont think its age per say its just that we dont use as many calories ,, for example when i was young i had to fix my own car ,, now i can afford to pay someone else to work on it . I used to skip bfast , then got into the habbit of eating bfast ,, i miss the larger calorie lunch and dinner . but eating bfast does help me eat better at lunch , just gotta do what works for ya good luck

you have did a great job , i would put stats in MFP and eat those calories .. as far as things i like alot yes its hard to control how much to eat , but i cant see never eating those again , so i try to fit them in my calorie goal and go from there ,, Good luck

I dont see your stats listed and how much your eating ,, just that your counting . That would be a good starting point . Im No pro ,, but if you have stayed the same for 5 months it kind of tells us .. good luck

your way ahead of the game , its good that your doing something now and not 50 pounds from now . all the calculators give you ball park numbers to start with . Start tracking your food and looking at the scale , You will know what you need to do in a month or two with the direction the scale moves good luck

i tend not to chase others calories , the scale will reflect what they are eating and calories in food is so all over the place its really hard to track perfectly . OP what rate of loss did you have for the first month ? as a rule of thumb 1 percent weight per week max . good luck
