You look fantastic! And I love the new haircut!

I count it as water -- it encourages me to drink it and reduce my diet soda consumption

That's what I was thinking -- the pedometer can measure steps but it has no idea that you were pushing a stroller. I would go with the HRM.

Congrats on your weight loss. I remember the day that I was considered "overweight" -- no longer obese! That is a great accomplishment! I totally understand about the whole BMI classifications. My goal is to be 150 -- which for a 5'7" woman is considered to be still 10 pounds overweight. When I told my extended family…

AWESOME! Sometimes the NSV's are better than the SV's!

Thanks for posting this! I have noticed that mine are a little wacky -- when I first started to lose weight and track, they were every 4 weeks. Then suddenly, I got one after 2 weeks, then at 4 again, and the last one was after 6 weeks. (which was really surprising since I did the whole acne/weight gain/cramping and…

Sounds good! I'll have to try it!

(Happened at 9 pounds, then at 18, and here again at 27). Typically, I have a bigger "catch up" loss in…

Good for you! Keep it up!

I have been gaining / losing the same 2 pounds for 4 weeks now -- and tomorrow's weigh in doesn't look good, either! My body has done this every 9 pounds (not 10 -- 9. UGH!) It plateaued at 9, and again at 18, and now again at 27. I'm sticking with the program, and being patient, but it's starting to get annoying!

I will often not feel hungry the day I exercise, but I am usually really hungry the next day. So I listen to my body, since I know that I will be hungry -- and I allow myself to go over within the next day or so. I wouldn't let it go for more than a couple of days, though. If you decide to listen to your body, then make…

I started at 209 (UGH!) and am now hovering around 180. My current goal weight is 150 -- about 10 pounds overweight. We'll see how I feel after I make it. If I could only break this plateau. . . I started at a tight 16 (probably why I started!) and am now a perfect size 13 (sometimes buying 14 and getting them tailored --…

It's official! It is exercise! The Bodybugg said that I burned about 300 calories doing 75 minutes of gardening. Taking out the "normal" 80 calories / hour that I typically burn at rest, and I'm thinking that conservatively, it's about 200 calories of "burn." More importantly, I'm liking the "strength" aspect of this --…

I moved back to Chicago because of it! LOL Have you tried the Cauliflower Pizza Crust? It's actually pretty good!

Did he wear leg warmers, too?

Sorry to hear about your losses. Best of luck with the weight loss, and with being a mummey!

Welcome! I'm from the southwest burbs of Chicago!

I was craving Chinese food this weekend, so I decided to try to do it myself. I LOVE Orange Chicken, so here's my alternative. Not exactly the HEALTHIEST choice, but probably better than take-out: 1) 6 Tyson Chicken Nuggets 2) 2 Tablespoons Smuckers Low Sugar Apricot Preserves 3) 1 cup riced cauliflower 270 calories / 470…

Previous Weight 179.5 CW 179.5 Mini-goal 176 Weigh-in in 3 days Daily loss needed: 1 lbs Realistic? NO How will I do it? Revising mini goal to 178.5 but would like to keep my goal weight at 170. FOCUS: WATER! My body's going through another 9-pound funk where I gain / lose the same 2 pounds over and over. TOM's finally…

So sorry to hear about your losses. May God be with you and your family in your time of need.

I think they are missing the same small print that is in other diet adds: results not typical. The article does have some valid points about how small steps can make a huge difference. When I find myself overwhelmed with trying to be "perfect" to lose weight, I will often step back and decide to take one of these smaller…

Believe it or not, Fuddruckers has some healthier options. I get their salads all of the time -- the Napa Valley Salad is about 450 calories without the bread. They are more filling than many of the salads that you get at some fast food restaurants. They also have leaner cuts of meat like a vegetable burger and bison. They…

It took me about 25 pounds to drop a pants size -- and it seemed to happen overnight. One day they fit, the next they seemed to be falling down! I had to get some new pants in a hurry. If you are wearing mostly jeans, it may take you a while to notice, since they tend to shrink with every wash and then stretch. I am still…

I'm in a similar boat. I've lost 25 pounds and am halfway to my goal. My body is going through its 9 pound plateau -- I lose 9 pounds, then gain / lose the same 1-2 pounds for a couple of weeks before it starts going down again. I am losing motivation, too!
