Gardening Isn't Exercise?
I have some leg muscles that would disagree with you! I am so stiff from pulling weeds last night! I think I did way many more toe touches and lunges just to pull one more weed. I paid for it this morning. And who needs resistance bands? I have a few weeds that will give you great resistance! If I could just master the…

NSV Back on the Zumba Wagon
I have to admit, I have fallen off of the exercise daily wagon -- instead I have been doing my favorite weekly workout -- mowing the lawn! Normally, I would have just made excuses on why not to exercise, but tonight I decided to get back on track and do Wii Zumba for the first time in about a month. My first NSV: Actually…

NSV: Pants on the Ground!
OK -- not exactly. I heard the song at my nieces' dance recital this weekend, and thought "how appropriate!" I had had a really hard time finding nice pants to wear for the event. I ended up wearing heels, since my pant legs were brushing the floor. I have been WAITING for this day for so long -- I had promised myself that…

Body Bugg Frustration
I just bought a Body Bugg, went to set it up this morning and am getting a "dual signin" error. The error message indicates that I should contact Technical Support, but they are not open until Monday. :grumble: Does anyone know if I can wear the band and capture the data this weekend? I am so disappointed -- I was really…

Awful Workouts / Strength vs. Cardio - Virtual style
I had two back-to-back awful workouts, and I need some help getting back on track. I have been working out for the last 90 days and still consider myself to be a beginning exerciser. I started out on the Wii Fit and HATED the very short island run. I never in a million years would have guess why people would try the Free…

NSV - No emotional eating today!
Small victory over emotional eating today ! So I'm in a meeting with my boss and one of our new executives(who I just met), and he mentions a few of his employees that he is mentoring to bring them to the next level, and that some of his employees he's just "renting" for a while. Guess what category I fell into? Since work…

Wii Fit & Balance ?
I have noticed that when I have a good day with the daily balance tests, and my COB is mostly center, that I have a much better workout than on days when my balance is not quite right. Not just with the yoga, but my strength is better, and my running is more smooth. Has anyone else experienced this?

Am I NUTS?
So I decided yesterday to host the Easter Celebraton for my family. Granted, it will be just a party of 7, but I am single and don't entertain at all. And the house hasn't been through the "spring cleaning." My mom used to clean the house for WEEKS before inviting anyone over, and here I am with a week, and there's TONS to…

The 9 pound plateau -- Part 2
So my body seems to want to plateau every 9 pounds or so. The first time my body did this was at 9 pounds -- it was really frustrating not to be able to say I had lost 10 pounds. I know it's just a number - but why does 10 seem to be so much more than 9? Now, I'm at 18, and for the last couple of weeks I've been trading a…

Reality is harder . . .
I just tried running outside today, and it was brutal. . . I had been using the Wii Fit Free Run, and I thought I would transition to outside. In virtual reality, I am able to run 20 minutes, get my heart rate up, and start to sweat. I feel great! Today -- I couldn't get a decent pace. I ended up walking, and I couldn't go…

Wii Rant
I had to exercise with a different cartoon trainer this evening. Evidently, mine took the night off. I wonder where the cartoon trainers go on vacation? A friend of mine's daughter was looking for interesting places to mail her "Flat Stanley" to. I wonder if all of those Flat Stanleys are really Wii fitness trainers?…

The Longest Mile
I just finished 1 1/2 mile "run" on Wii fit. Granted, it was only 10 minutes, and it was a virtual mile, but a mere few weeks ago, I had a hard time just doing the first "short" run. Thank you all for being an inspiration to me to get off the couch and start moving again! Here's to many more miles to come (and when the…
