  • I knit when I'm bored. Or if I'm confused about being hungry or bored, I eat broccoli. I figure if I'm eating broccoli, I'm hungry not bored. Not that I don't like broccoli -- just that I don't tend to over indulge!
  • Thanks for the additional posts. I am not active at all and have found that I burn slightly more calories at "rest" than what MFP calculates, even though I am mostly sedentary. It is also telling me that I am burning less when I am exercising than I had thought. (bummer) I think the BodyBugg is also giving me light results…
  • First of all -- enjoy your meal! Sometimes you just need to take a break for a moment, and live a little. Your body might need a break, too. My body plateaus every 9 pounds, and it looks like I'm going through plateau #3. Just like you, I have lost about 30 pounds, and my body is adjusting. Unfortunately, a little too…
  • Sometimes feeding the plateau is the right thing to do. My body plateaus every 9 pounds, and it's starting the gain a pound / lose it back / then gain it again dance that it does. I am trying to feed it a few more calories this time (but not overindulge) to see if I can get over it. Good luck !
  • Congrats on your NSV! And I think you've motivated me to work out tonight. Thanks!
  • WOW! Some impressive losses this week. Congrats to the losers! Looking forward to this week's challenge! Thanks, Vic!
  • Me, too. A couple of months ago, TOM was 2 weeks early. Now, he seems to be a tad bit late. I have been expecting him for a few days now -- I have the sudden weight gain, a little cramping, irratibility and the breakouts -- everything but TOM himself.
  • I've had mine for a month and really like it. The subscription is free for the first 6 months, then a monthly charge afterwards. I bought the upgraded version which is supposed to interface with the iPhone, which I'm having issues with. Keep in mind that if you have trouble with it, their support / office hours are only…

  • Awesome job!
  • Saw this on the Today Show this week. Funny! Love Samuel reading it!
  • For some reason, almonds always help me -- lots of fiber and good fat.
  • Your weight fluctuations are totally normal. If it drives you too crazy, then I would suggest you weigh in only once a week. I weigh at least daily, but I don't let the variances bother me. I look at the trend -- is the weight coming down gradually week to week? If not, I change what I'm doing. There's a really good post…
  • That makes total sense! Thanks for the giggle.
  • I'm right there with you . . . Some weeks (liek this one) I actually see "Skinnier Me." Then there are others where I still see "Big ME." But I'm starting to change the way that I look at my body. I am buying clothes that flatter my body the way it is NOW and it's helping. I had to go shopping last week for pants, so I…

  • Awesome post! I go through similar stretches, although not as extreme. I'm expecting TOM any day now (2 pounds up this week). It may be too late for this cycle, but I will keep it in mind for next month. I have a Bodybugg too -- just for this type of analysis. I just have to know what my body is doing, and I find it…
  • Congrats on your loss! And always follow your mom's advice: make sure you are wearing good underwear!
  • LOL! Laughing burns an extra 1.3 calories a minute -- so thanks for the "exercise"! I think I'll go have a Tic Tac!
  • Congrats! If you have the Wii Fit Plus, there's a spot on there for your pets. Seriously. And yes, my dog is on there! The virtual Lucy jogs with the virtural Mii on the island, while the real Lucy sleeps on the bed.
  • Interesting post. I have just started to take B12 -- a coworker of mine is taking if for memory / concentration, and she said it was also giving her more energy. So I thought I would try it. Anyone else have experience with B12? I would love to hear the results of the B Complex as well.
  • Starting Weight: 192 179.5 Goal Weight: 178 170 6/9 179 6/16 6/23 6/30 7/7 Mini Goal: 176 7/14 7/21 7/28 8/4 Mini Goal: 172 8/11 8/18 8/25 9/1 Goal: 170 I'm blaming TOM, although he hasn't officially shown up yet. I gained 2 pounds earlier this week, I'm breaking out, and I'm irritable (can you tell? ) I think I'll go have…
  • LOL!
  • YEP! Some days you just gotta earn enough for that treat. I have had my eye on the June Flavor of the Month at Baskin Robbins since they started advertising it in April. And I have to mow the yard to get it!
  • Keep looking -- that hot chick is there! I have lost a similar amount of weight and just couldn't see the results. Still saw the fat me. And then one day, I realized that I had to keep pulling my pants up. I had promised myself that I would celebrate when I finally changed sizes, and I would never be one of those people…
  • Great post! Congrats on your loss. You really know how to inspire!
  • I am ALWAYS over on sugar! Sugars, Fats, and Sodium. Leave it to the fruits and nuts! LOL
  • Great job! Keep up the good work!
  • Absolutely! This is why I work out at home. I even get embarassed when the dog catches me! And I can totally relate to the Zumba thing. When the Wii Zumba "trainer" called out "lookin' good" the first time I was Zumba'ing, I laughed and said, "I'm sure it's not!"
  • You asked how it felt when someone who's been a couch potato for years started exercising for the first time. In a word: awful! A few months ago, I started doing the Wii Fit, and I remember the first time I did the Island Run, which is jogging in place for not even 5 minutes. I never thought I was going to make it, and…
  • I have a similar chart for my weekly logging (although I weigh at least once a day). I put one in Excel so that I could SEE the difference. MFP's charts are too small -- can't see the difference. Like I said I weigh multiple times a day -- just to see how my body behaves. I don't let it get me down -- I'm just a numbers…
  • I made an omelette the other day, and got two yolks in one egg. I wasn't sure if I should log it as one or two eggs! LOL
