  • In NS, there is only one doctor and the wait list just topped 11 years from referral submission. :(. It is really sad. I wish they would train/recruit another doctor and then the wait list would be literally half as long. However, the government just doesn’t want to fund the department.
  • Congrats on the surgery date! How did your appointment with the Endocrinologist go yesterday? I am meeting with my bariatric team at the end of July, and it is quite possible I will get my surgery date very shortly after that. Fingers crossed, since in Canada you are at the mercy of the public healthcare system. haha.…
  • My first 10 was not great. I gained and am desperately not wanting to update the spreadsheet because I feel embarrassed. I've been tracking all of my foods, so I need to figure out my "Why?". I haven't been exercising much, so perhaps I just need to get up and get going. I'm not giving up because I know this is definitely…
  • My weekend was a complete mess and were constantly on the go, so my eating wasn't the best, but I packed my lunch/snacks for work and am back on track for today! My goal will be to stay under my calories and to do at least 30 minutes of some kind of physical activity.
  • I'm 5'5", 29 and I started at 323 a month ago and am down to 309. :) Friend me if you want, it's always nice to have friends at the same point in your journey. :)
  • Amazing job on both fronts! It's inspirational to see someone not only achieve a weight loss, but to also tackle alcoholism. Great job. :)
  • My goals for today are to start the 30 day shred, stay under the calorie goal and to drink 10 glasses of water today. I find the blanket 8 isn't enough for me, and I feel much better if I drink more!
  • Hey, I'm Krista and I live in St. John's Newfoundland (Canada). I started at 323lbs after having my second child and I'm currently at 309.7lbs. I'm looking to hit 290 within the next 100 days by eating healthier, counting calories and am starting some low impact exercising today. I'm really excited to having one more thing…
  • That's a big milestone, and you should be incredibly proud of yourself! Even when I was fit I disliked running outside because I was worried others were looking at me. Either way, amazing progress. :)
  • Thank you for putting this together! I've added my information to the log and am looking forward to having an additional motive to keep at this and get to where I need to be! :)
  • Celebrating the small successes is what makes you achieve your BIG success/goals! Congrats. Stopping the addiction and cycle of eating/drinking those things is a big deal :)
  • Glad to see some other "locals" on here. :) I have a VERY long road ahead of me (looking to lose 130lbs), but I'm so thrilled to be getting started again. I'm worth more than the weight I'm carrying around everyday. Good luck to everybody else too!
  • I am new to the forums, but not new to MFP, or attempting weight loss. I just got back into logging every day. My starting weight was 322ish, and I am currently down to 315. Still early on in my journey, but feel free to add me! :) I'm super excited to get going on this! I'm done having children (I had 2, youngest who is…
