  • At least 1,000 per month, family of 6 with kids age 2-13. Easily 1200. We live in Maine, where food is considered pricey. This is a lot of fresh produce, gluten free, organic meats, but also a lot of pre-packaged protein bars and frozen vegetarian meals (the 13 year old lives off this stuff). Also, this includes organic…
  • Incredible! Congratulations!
  • I'm starting this diet today, so anyone else doing this ,please message me! :) Really excited and happy about the changes that I'm making!
  • I had someone rub my belly when I was 6 months along (looking full term!) (what, I make 10 lb babies) (not gestational diabetes either) and asked when I was due. I said "I'm not pregnant." heh. Another time I said "I am 1 month along." hahahaah my husband was mortified.
  • I've had so many bad experiences with this. I'm usually slender (size 6--ish, 5'6.5") until I have a kid, and both times, I gained a large amount of weight, ending up at about a size 16 when the baby is 1. Last time was 12 years ago and it took 2.5 years to get it all off again, and I ended up at about a small size 4. Now…
  • married with young step-kids for 4 years. If you are thinking about doing this, RUN DON'T WALK away.
  • after just, ridiculous amounts of time doing this (this is my second major weight loss in 11 years and there was a 7 year maintenance in the middle) I have learned to not crave sweets very much, and not be addicted to carbs, and not be in the habit of zombie-like munching. I don't have snacks in front of the TV, and I…
  • NO! I never do anymore. I started this about a month ago, and gained 3 lbs, by eating my exercise calories, which tend to be around 300 per day/6 days per week. I have found that I lose at an ok pace (up to 2 lbs per week) by NOT eating exercise points. And I don't go below 1200 calories per day. My goal is 1200, but I…
  • I also usually kind of dread it. I have found workouts I like ok, and one I love. (I like Beachbody "Slim in 6" but I loved "T25"). I'm on the 2nd level of "Slim in 6" and there are parts I just really don't like. The entire plie section. And most of the squat section. I just suck it up and do my best. If I do my best…
  • THIS.
  • that's a bummer. I don't have one (getting one in the mail any day now though). Good luck with getting them to give you a discount. I wonder how it got all cracked? Was it wet a lot?
  • Nice work! I remember that first jog when I lost my baby weight way back. I had never been a runner or a jogger and I just decided to try it.Also way up on HRM. But I kept it up, and soon was running 6 miles, and very fit. You will get where you want to go, just take the step and build that strength! Really well done!!
  • 125. That's the weight I was before my pregnancy, and it's 54 lbs to lose. I'm 5'5" , That said I had no muscle, and now I do, so maybe I'll stop at a higher weight, if my clothes look good. I miss my clothes
  • I am so confused because I thought MFP's pre-set ratios were the healthiest and best for everyone. I am NOT a fan of carbs, having kicked a sugar habit 12 years ago. I over-eat protein and fat, and really struggle to get more carbs in. What percentage should I use? I have 50 to lose and I am aiming for 1200. I work out…
  • Hi, I'm a 36 year old mom of 4 (two are step-kids who live here half time), with a toddler and 50-ish lbs to lose. I tend to gain a lot during pregnancy and it takes 2-3 years to get it off of me. I'm normally slender. So, this is a huge difficulty because I just don't identify as a heavy woman, but I am! I'm 179 lbs,…
  • Hi, I'm 36, mom of 2, step-mom of 2 more who live with me. My kids are 1, 5, 7, and 12. I've been active here for about a month. My goal is to fit into my tiny pre-pregnancy clothes again. I gained about 60 and have about 40 left to lose. I'm 5'5", my pre-preg size was a 4, and I'm in a 12. I need to be at about 125-130.…

  • I'm 5'5" and I'm 178-180 today. I need to get to 125 -130 to fit into my prepreg clothes. My baby is.. 20 months. ;-/
  • I'm also looking for accountability. I want to lose an extra 50 that I gained with a tough pregnancy 2 years ago. I have been doing BeachBody workouts (on Slim in 6 right now) and I'm trying desperately to eat only 1200 while getting the proper balance of fat/carbs/protein, and of course VITAMINS. It's really hard to diet…
  • Hi, also a mom with some baby pounds. I have the same problem with my friends. They are all gung ho and then they binge and disappear, bringing me down in the process. I'm 36. My baby is almost 2, but I am still about the same weight as the day after I had him, which ISNT RIGHT. I gained 50-60 with that pregnancy. I have…
  • good for you! I was a single mom for 8 years, and I used to push my kid in a jogging stroller for a 4 mile jog/walk nearly every day, 3-4 miles. When she was 5, she got to be bored with that, so I had to find another plan, and I was lucky to be able to do a quick jog after I dropped her off at school. Keep up the good work!
  • I'm a SAHM of 2, plus 2 step kids who live here part-time, ages 1-12. I workout every day when my 20 month old sleeps. He has a 90 minute nap from 12:30-2. I've learned to eat a good breakfast (but not too big) and then I feel I have enough energy at noon to get my butt down to the exercise room (in our house). I have a…
