I’m 5’11 and my maintenance calories are 2100ish. It took me about a year to lose 45 total.

Yes. But i still follow the 80/20 rule. So i eat pretty balanced, not deprived at all. Eat my greens and my cake and candy

Eating healthy does not mean weight loss. A caloric deficit does

You need to either drop Your calories more or up your activity more. Easier to cut calories down a bit. Start with cutting 100 and see if the scale starts moving again

Anyone else share their journey on IG? I’d love to follow other tall women on their journey, whether their bulking or losing or maintaining. My Instagram name is: [personal details removed by mods. Please share personal info via private messaging]

If you're on true maintenance you won't gain actual fat. You're in a surplus if you are gaining substantial weight over time. water weight and fluctuations day to day will happen no matter what though

I'm 140 and 5'11 I find it very easy to maintain and am never hungry, when I am I just eat within my maintainence calories which are 2200 so I get plenty of food

For me I first lost a lot in my waist and upper body, and then my hips and thighs came next, but I still hold a little fat in my stomach and thighs that kind of bug me but not enough to try and lose more, so I'm focusing on building muscle and then will cut again and hope that the muscle will fill those fattier areas left…

That's awesome!! Congrats! My "goal weight" was 165 but then I just kept going and realizing that it's not about the weight, it's the body composition that I was really after, so once I hit 140, I was happy with what I saw, not because of the number!

1800 calories

Nothing can accurately tell you what your burn, if you're trying to lose weight, your calories should be set you're overall activity in and out of the gym.

Im 6ft my maintain weight is currently 137. I'm happy here ! Just pick a weight you're most happy with, or better yet, not weight but how your body looks!

Thanks everyone!

My weight now is 140! I'm currently doing a slow bulk now to put on some muscle and then cut again to hopefully reveal said muscle lol this is going to be a challenge for me. And this progress took roughly 10-12 months. A year isn't long in hindsite, it passed so quickly.

Hardly ever because my goals were stronger than my desire for food. I found healthier ways to cope

And congrats!!

Hola!! Fellow tall girl here! Started around 180 and I'm 5'11/6feet now down to 140 also!
-
Mines odd, but I look better than I ever thought I would.
-
Yeah being taller does make weight gain not look so bad but trust me when I say I was miserable! lol I could hardly do anything without being out of breath
-
I believe when we lose weight, our cofidcence peaks and we become more positive and radiates and people are attracted to that and naturally react positively.

Bump for some Monday motivation

Those asking, I'm 5'11 so yes my weight looks vastly different on me than someone that is much shorter, one of the perks of being tall. I was MISERABLE at 180, I felt awful, hated my body, everything. I feel the best I ever have now! Working on putting a little muscle on. I followed simply shredded at first and then just…
