Once a day is normal for me?
-
DO NOT SMOKE. it took my 15 bloody years to figure that out !!
-
My maintenance cals are only 1450 (so not much difference really)
-
BEFORE: Breakfast: normally nothing, sometimes buttery toast Lunch: Gregg's sandwich, sausage roll and slice of cake / pasta salad & crisps / large portion of left over dinner with bread Dinner: Same size portion as my 5ft 11, 12st, decorator OH of whatever I made (spag bol / chilli / roast dinner) plus we'd have garlic…

I rewarded myself with a holiday when I reached goal weight (and only gained a lb - yay!)
-
I am def in the 25% of people that has never gone down to 1200 cals when MFP recommended I have more!
-
I was actually looking at pizza's today (in M&S) and they were all pretty much 450+ cals for half a pizza. 800 - 1000 cals sounds about right I am afraid!

Sometimes life gets in the way and we will all have occasions that we simply cannot control exactly what we eat / how much exercise we take. I think your best bet is to eat clean and exercise in the days before and after but just enjoy the event itself. You have acheived and amazing loss thus far, one night (or even one…

I officially weigh-in once a week (today) I have recently developed a bit of a thing for the scales and weigh myself every day - watching myself fluctuate ona daily basis is too depressing so when I get back from my holiday I am going to weigh-in once a week (maybe even once a fortnight!)
-
You were actually my inspiration for this thread - I saw you mention McCoys LOL! Pasta is another thing I have vastly moderated, if I didn't weigh it I could easily eat 3x the amount I actually need. I also try to use new potatoes as a sub in lots of my meals that would normally have pasta / rice (meatballs and new pot's…

I record excatly what I weigh on weigh-in day regardless. If I didn't I would just be cheating myself!
-
Thanks guys - I don't intend to go back to old eating habits but I do feel happy with my choice to ease up a little bit. I love wine, I love eating out but I do also love swimming / walking around [exploring new surroundings] so hopefully I can find a good balance. I expect to see a gain but have also decided not to…

I am off Saturday night and I am so distracted - luckily the boss isn't in today so I can be a little lazy !
-
Well done you!! Ibiza was my first every holiday (back in my younger, single days) I am off to the Canaries at the weekend - and am all but at goal weight!!! Not exactly looking forward to getting into a bikini but I ma not dreading it!
-
I am at goal weight and walk for an hour a day (I put on my trainers and power walk) so I always include it as exercise...
-
I am almost at goal weight but still have belly fat - my skinny little wrists don't make me feel better about it LOL!

I didn't realise that your weight gain is due to fertility drugs, nor did you say to begin with that you are on 800 cals a day with your Dr's blessing. Sorry but on here you see all too often people with ED's abusing the wonderful tool that is MFP. This website has helped me so much it always upsets me when I see people…
-
The OP has set herself up on 800 cals a day (if you look at her diary!)
-
I think MFP should not give members the option to set themselves silly calories allowances. How does a person eat less than 800 calories BUT go so over on carbs? I find it insane that you are a nurse [quite frankly you should know better] Also eating too little could be counter productive to your fertility treatment.

I'm currently in size 10 (UK) but they are big on me now so I need to invest in some size 8's... I am pretty much at goal weight and don't want to be any smaller than that!

2 adults, 1 cat. I spend roughly £50 a week on the online shop (heavy goods, cat litter, tins, store cupboard items) Plus another £30 a week on fresh food - meat, veg, salad, fruit. Another £10 a week on lunch stuff and another £10 on bits and bobs. So that is £100 a week - £400 a month!!!! Jeez!!! I do cook at home every…

If I net less than 1200 I get shaky and have zero energy (which in turn makes me crave something with lots of sugar) I only very rarely net less than 1200 and have not done this for ages as it makes me feel so crappy
-
I used to weigh in once a week but this bloody site has got me obssessed LOL! I have already weighed myself 3 times this week (was a 1lb up on Monday, last week's weight yesterday and 1lb down today) I only record my weight once a week though and weigh-in day is tomorrow! It's driving me nuts seeing all these fluctuations…

I mainly look at calories but I know most days I am a little over on protein and under on everything else which I can live with!
-
I wouldn't outright ban anything but maybe just limit the not so good food you have at home. My folks always let us have chocolate and fizzy drinks but only ever bought the fun size version (we get them here in the UK) so we had a little junk now and then. *I am the only one of us 4 kids that has had to lose weight by the…

They are UK based - not sure where you are located?

I factor in a treat to my daily diary. Sometimes it is a 90 cal chocolate mouse, sometimes a bag of Walkers french Fries @ 83cals or sometimes a mini Key Lime Pie @ 140 cals. I am trying to get out of the habit though and want my evening treat to be fruit going forwards... However if a small daily treat works for me I…

I want to go on holiday and not feel guilty about what I eat and drink. I also want to go on holiday and NOT undo all my hard work - so I want to make healthy choices and swim as much as possible every day
-
I love my booze too (in moderation these days of course LOL) I also stopped smoking 4 months ago. I still have the occasional glass of wine but vodka & diet coke is my drink of choice... although my own measure of Absolut are a tad on the generous side :drinker: If I want a few glasses of wine I exercise a little extra to…

Wow - excellent loss!!!
