I used to be the same, whenever i was sad i would eat, this was mostly as a teenager and young adult. I can't remember exactly when this changed and now if i am stressed i go the opposite way where i cant eat at all. Indian restaurants/take outs OMG keep me away if i can smell a good curry cooking i will follow my nose and eat 2 days worth of calories in one sitting! I know that no real food is EVIL however i think what they mean is what food do you lose control over. For me its a good curry. I just cant have a small portion.

YES to the other comment, make sure you don't over estimate your workouts calorific burn. Most people think they have burnt more than they have. I recommend not buying it and start getting your taste buds used to the natural sweets like figs for example. The others are right the less crap food you eat the less you crave it! Try the Insanity workout - "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger" All about core and cardio. However as to the when to work hard on the core i would wait for the end of your overall workout so you dont tire it too much before hand!

Veggie 18 years with 1 year being vegan in there somewhere. Conscious eater, turned veggie/vegan for ethical reasons. Eat healthy most of the time with once a month pizza or equivalent, workout 5-6x a week. Feel free to add me. Peace

I do insanity just to keep fit. I complete the first month to start then mix it with some workouts from the second month to keep it interesting. BMI can be very misleading. Don't follow that look at our body fat% instead for an accurate guide. According to BMI I am overweight yet my stomach is completely flat and I have visible hip bones! Thanks guys, as i mentioned before i don't think my body type makes it easy for me to display my abs so to speak as i have friends who have a way higher body fat % but very prominent abs even from under some fat! Guess i have to work twice as hard to achieve my goal :grumble:

I found that quinoa works well for me. Also its very healthy, I add it to salads to bulk them out a bit its a complete protein so i use it to ensure i get enough when working out.

Gain some muscle - hit the weights. They don't have to be heavy just do some resistance training.
