I AM!!!!!!!! Yankees all the way!! I can't wait... although it is the only time of year that I ever really want beer (and chicken wings, for that matter)... so I'll have to work on that! :D

You got this, Mollie... just don't give up. Keep on keeping on... if you fall short on something one day, try to make it up the next. And for goodness sakes, don't be so hard on yourself! I've seen you become so incredibly accountable for your food and your exercise... with the attitude you have, you WILL get there. Take…

I think this may be the most debated topic on MFP. And I have been all over the map about it myself. But here's where I (currently... lol...) stand on it. I don't believe in cheat DAYS, but a cheat MEAL once or twice per week is actually good for you. Mentally speaking, It keeps you from feeling deprived... and if you find…

YUMBUMP!!

I think I might skip for awhile today since I read this. Thanks!! :flowerforyou:

I'm sure it is... it's definitely cardio and it's super fun!! But I have no idea how to calculate a recipe in order to add it to the database

I refer to Diet Coke as my former lover. Every now and again, we have another romp... it's so scandalous!! In response to your question, from a caloric standpoint, no, it's not bad. But it does contain a lot of sodium and it prevents what could be more water due to it's caffeine content and just the pure fact that you're…

I TOTALLY agree!! Some zucchini, sliced lengthwise and tossed in salt, pepper and olive oil then thrown on the grill... SO yum!! Same with eggplant.

Consider adding a Greens supplement to your daily routine. I love veggies now, but I never did as a kid. My father raised me on junk food, so my journey with veggies was an eventful one! The more you explore, the more you will like them. I love roasting sweet potatoes... roasting asparagus and topping with a homemade…

Thanks for all the feedback, everybody! I started drinking it this morning. Didn't taste too bad... excited about it!!

Do you notice a difference in your overall health, complexion, energy levels, etc?
-
Yeah, I eat them occasionally, but I do try to check the sodium levels in the meals that I want. Unfortunately, I have learned that there are few shortcuts on this whole dieting thing... it's so annoying!!

Yes!! They are outstanding... fries are a weakness of mine and my daughter's and until I tried those, I was making sweet potato fries like crazy! Butternuts are always a pain to work with, but suuuuuuuuper yummy. I sprinkled mine with smoked paprika and a touch of chipotle chile powder. Fantastic!
-
yes maam! I LOVE this show!! Her butternut squash fries are SOOO delicious!!

Totally agree... I think we all have too much of a tendency to look for short cuts that end up risking our health even more. I prefer sticking with butter and just reducing the amount I use, but that's just me.

Put them in the calculator... a 3/4 cup portion is 137 cals.

I think it's so much better for your body to use real butter, just more sparingly. It goes much further, flavor-wise, than margarine and at the end of the day, the richness you get from using real butter makes up for the fat you're missing in the milk. If you prefer them creamier and don't mind adding a few more cals, you…

Nah... I just kinda made it up for Jay (only had enough last night to taste it)... but you could look it up on the recipe calculator. 2 lbs potatoes, 1 cup skim milk infused with fresh garlic, 2 Tbsp butter, low sodium chicken broth, salt and pepper.

This is really smart, actually. I love it!

You're welcome to check mine out. I'm certainly pretty human, but I try to keep my transgressions small. :)

This sounds amazing!! Thanks for sharing! I'm a green tea addict.

For me, the best thing to do is get Pandora on your phone. First of all, the music is tailored around what YOU love (and music tastes are incredibly specific... at least, they are to me). But the best part is that it gives you something to do while you're working out... you have to choose thumbs up or thumbs down for each…

I tried this too. For so long. But, I'm not gonna lie to you... that's why I haven't met my goals since I started here. In the past 3 weeks, though, I have kept drinking to one night per week and I've been SURPASSING my goals. Sometimes, I will slip up and drink twice in a week, but I can tell the difference every single…

I have been told that walking is actually better for burning fat and jogging is better for cardio health. It's really all about the zone in which you keep your heart rate. If you have several pounds to lose, it's actually better for you to walk than to jog... when you get close to your target rate, it's better to jog. I'm…

I like oatmeal too... I get the lowered sugar instants and they are fabulous. Another good idea is hard boiled eggs. You can boil and peel them ahead of time, keep them in a baggie in your fridge and they are perfect grab and go meals. Especially with some pre-cooked turkey bacon or sausage. Also, as a mom who is…

Very curious... what does the macca and l-glutamine, primrose oil and apple cider vinegar do?
-
I like to take Vitamin E... it's amazing how great your skin will feel and your hair will look. I also take folic acid because my mother makes me. (Ugh).

Oddly enough, a great chocolate craving killer for me is Yoplait Light yogurt in Red Velvet flavor. It's creamy and cold and just enough chocolate flavor to feel decadent. 100 cals, no fat and 5g protein.

I think for strength training and weights, that's correct... if you're not shocking the muscles, they won't shape up. But for cardio, I'm not so sure.

I'm no expert but it sounds to me like maybe you didn't eat enough first and your sugar is low? Good work on the burn, though! You also might have just overdone it for your first time back after a hiatus.
