The blend of turmeric and nutmeg is said to help to cleanse your liver.

I am curious to hear from someone who knows more about it. I think that diets can be great way to get focused and get your head in the game. And MFP will help you stay on track when you're done dieting. Unfortunately, most diets just aren't healthy. But I always keep my eyes open for ones that make sense.

Usually you can find it in the spice aisle of any grocery store.

So funny!!! :D

I take prenatals, Chromium, Folic Acid, and Vitamin E. But I also drink a LOT of herbal teas because they really help with absorption of the vitamins.

Hi there!! Where in NC are you from? I think you will find lots of great friends here who will absolutely share in your success and keep you on your toes.

Thanks for sharing! This sounds yummy!

Pretty much any!! I love to just sear them, if they're large sea scallops and serve with a baked sweet potato or roasted asparagus with a lemon vinaigrette and a salad. To sear them, just pat them very dry with a paper towel and pepper them, get the pan very hot with a mixture of half olive oil and half butter... just…

Me too!!! BUT... I would give it up to keep my cabernet or pinot noir. You can keep the white wines... I do like them on occasion, but I could say goodbye. I can never say goodbye to my divine reds.

Too funny... "wait, honey, I have to log everything... was that 3 or 4 tablespoons, you think?"

A butterfinger one? Really? Hmmmm... consider it on my grocery list. Thanks!!

I think it is a good thing to do. Keeps your metabolism on it's toes. But I would be careful with the term "cheat DAY". I like to pick one day a week where I let myself have something I'm really craving, no matter how bad. BUT, I still log it... and I pay close attention to being full. So, if I decide I want pizza, then I…

This sounds super delicious!!! I love roasting my green beans too... but I have never tried them with grill seasoning. Thanks, Mocha Mix!!

And to CombatVet... thank you for sharing. I think it was a really informative article. :flowerforyou:

I'm curious why you disagree. I'd like to hear your side. I, personally, feel like we are one of the world's fattest nations because we live in a society that encourages excess. We want more, we want it faster and we want what is most convenient. Too much of this idea has made us lazier, fatter and less apt to think about…

Try this website... I love it and check it often to get a better image of how I look. Maybe this will help. http://www.mybodygallery.com/photos-487-body-shape.htm#img

My question to people like this and all the other judgmentals out there is why did you even read this thread? JUST to criticize someone or make them feel bad for their choices? If we are all on this site to lose weight, do we not get ENOUGH of that criticism from the outside world?? Isn't this supposed to be a place where…

Wow!!! Red Velvet is my favorite! That sounds amazing!

Having a five year old, I understand the importance (and fun) of making charts so she and I made a water chart and we compete!! Whoever wins for the week gets to be princess for the day. But I keep a big old 32 oz water bottle handy, fill it with lots of ice and then water from my Brita. I bought it in an…

I think it's up to each person how you structure your meal plan for the day, but I like to keep mine at around 300 cals per meal. Now, if I go over, it's not the end of the world, but I draw a hard line at 450. I try to keep snacks under 200. The rest is breathing room for things like agave syrup in my tea, etc.

Hmmm... this is fun!! I looked at this as what things cause panic if I run out of them... in no particular order, they are: Lowered Sugar Instant Oatmeal egg whites any kind of turkey any reduced fat cheese (but preferably swiss or cottage cheese) almonds (the flavored ones are especially good craving-killers) green tea…

Well, I just got some new shoes about a month ago because of the pain. And they have been absolutely fabulous when I'm walking or jogging outdoors, but they still come back on the treadmill. SO frustrating!!

That's so inspiring!! I'm glad you're here!! Isn't it amazing how great we can be for everyone else but how easy it is to forget ourselves? :flowerforyou:

Welcome... For me, personally, I came here for the calorie tracking and have stayed/come back for the friends. You're gonna kick some butt... watch!! :flowerforyou:

I can use those at night... but usually by then, my boyfriend has claimed the tv for some silly man tv... lol... And also, I have been trying to hit the gym at night but it's just somewhat unrealistic... by the time homework is done, dinner is made, baths are given, stories are read, and lunches are packed, it's usually…
