  • The figure is nearer the 6 calorie mark per pound so its not really worth paying attention to.
  • The larger you are the more weight it takes to lose a size, and then as you get smaller it takes less and less weight to a size. It took me around 50lbs to go from 38" jean to a 34" but 18lbs to go from a 34" to a 30" jean
  • Anything Dr Oz pushes you can immediatly ignore, most you need to take is a multi vitamin and maybe some fish oil.
  • You would have to eat 3500 calories over your TDEE to gain a pound of fat so it is possible you could gain weight, but lets be clear the average person has a tdee in the 2000+ range so to gain a pound of fat even in a day you would have to consume 5500 calories.
  • I eat cheese pretty much every day and I'm doing fine, one word of advice please stay away from the low cal/low fat cheese, go hard or go home.

  • When should you? in the morning after visiting the toilet, how often you should, thats a dffierent question.
  • "and plan to marry the everliving f*** out of him when the time is right" this part had me in stiches
  • With work hour, gym time, I have ended up in a one meal a day routine, Im perfectly happy having just one meal a day, one advantage is i get to eat all my calories in one go, so thats all 1800+ on main and desert.
  • Personally I would drop the bro slipt, unless you are an experiance lifter working 1 muslce per session per week is a waste of your time. While you are still cutting Id recommend looking at stronglift or other beginner programmes. They concentrate of the big compound lift which work multiple muscle at once such as…
  • New year's day, Christmas day thats what we call them, technically they're Bank Holidays but thats a different kettle of fish
  • FYI its holiday not vacations, silly americans :D that being said personally it will be nigh on impossible to accuratly count calories while on holiday, watch your portion etc but above all enjoy yourself, if you come back a couple of pounds heavier so be it.
  • No problems mate, the more useful information on here the better. It was really an eye opener when I realised how little calories I was burning in 1hr of lifting, I was loging 300/400 where I was really 200max. At the time 200 calorie difference didn't have much affect on my overall dficit because I was larger and the…
  • How dare you come here with all your graphs, maths and fancy words, how dare you :) Great post, I use the 50% method for cardio, and most time I don't count lifting calories because they go on my post lifting banana
  • It won't your body does not have a calendar, it doesn't know when one week starts and another end. Spread it out over the next few days and it would even out.
  • FYI from studies I have read, 1lb of lbm will burn roughly 6 more calories not a noticable amount. Onto the the origonal question lifting heavy while eating at a calorie deficit will encourage lbm rentention meaing a higher % of the loss comes from fat.
  • Read on a few Bodybuilding site as well as many post on here stating shouldn't bulk untill lean
  • the whole you have to drink X amout of glasses a day is stupid idea, I just drink until my urine is a pale yellow colour. You have to remember you also get water from alot of foods you eat.
  • This!!
  • First thing that jumped out at me is that you are 5 8" and looking to get to 8st 5lb which would put you under weight, I am an inch shorter than you and even 8st 5lb would put me under weight, so firstly I would seriously reconsider you goal weight and maybe focus more on a body recomp.
  • I highly doubt it, like others have said you would have had to eat/drink in excess 25,000 + calories in 3 days to gain that much fat.
  • I suffer from headache often mainly a combinations of lots of computer screens and copius amounts of caffeine. I cut down of the amount of coffee I drank at work and I don't get them as often now.
  • Yeah this sound like a stupid idea, water fast?
  • Ignore the scales, 2 weeks ago I got back into lifting after 3 months out with a shoulder problems and bang 4lbs have gone onto the scales and not left since. Now in that time I know ive not eaten 14,000 calories surplus so I know its not fat. Like many have said go off pictures/measurements, no one can tell by looking at…
  • For someone who is 5 9" 205lbs I personally think 1200 is too low, Im shorter than you and started at a higher weight than you and was losing weight comfortably at 1600+ for 2lbs moving to 1900 for 0.5/1lb perweek
  • Yes but not enough to warrant thinking about.
  • The heavier you are the more it will take to notice the difference, I had 73lbs to lose and it was about the 40lbs mark the I could really notice the difference just by looking at myself in the mirror. Clothes were loser, i was buying smaller sizes etc but when you look at yourself every day small changes wont show up.…
  • i always had a baby face when I was bigger, I was often mistaken for someone mid teens when I was in my early to 20s. Since ive lost weight ive notice im starting to look older/my age, maybe it because i have jawline, I dont have multiple chin etc, but I wouldnt change it for the world, im much happy with my body and i…
  • If you stay within you calorie goal will do no damage, however if you go over your calorie goal and depending by how much you could easily wipe out your deficit for the week.
  • Like other have said you have other issues going on that are more important than losing a few pounds, Ive seen first hand what alcoholism does to people and I wouldnt wish it on my worst enemy. So please see help in what ever was you feel best then come back and we can talk about those few pounds to want to lose.
  • just my 2cent fat is not evil, fat is good you need fat, fat does not make you fat. Now if you are buying these because they have less calories than the full fat version and you need to fit it into your diary then fine, but please don't buy them just because they have less fat.
