I can so relate. This just happened to me when I weighed in on Friday. I was actually up a half of pound. I did do a lot of heavy weight training with my trainer and he raised the dumbbells up to 15 pounders. I got so frustrated that I blew my plan the last few days, so don't do what I did. I think it is mostly just either…

Hi There, You might be experiencing water fluctuation in your body. Easiest thing to remember is 3500 calories = 1 pound so it is almost impossible to lose 5 pounds in one day unless it is a water loss which will come by as soon as you eat. Slow and steady weight loss will get you to goal. So just keep plugging away.

Hi, We all get in ruts. Important thing is progress not perfection! When I lost 90 pounds nine years ago I didn't do it with perfect weeks. In fact I just had more days where I stayed at my calorie limit than when I didn't. I recently followed another woman's journey who lost ninety pounds and she recorded her weight every…

Great post! It is so true and it is great that you are stopping it before it gets out of control! I am turning 50 the 17th so I can completely relate. Good luck, Patty

Hi There, I am reading a book called Body-for- life. In it you follow a program six days and you eat whatever you want on the seventh day. A lot of the trainers at the gym eat this way. They say planning a day off once a week leads to success and not feeling deprived. I have a friend who lives this way and she said it…

Love the tatoo, very symbolic. I use to think I wanted to tatoo a small butterfly on my hip to represent freedom from weight! Who knows maybe one day I will. Here's to wishing you a load of success.

Hi There, You can make your calories higher on the site by choosing to lose slower, just select 1/2 pound a week. I have it set right now at 1600 calories. I personally lost 90 pounds 9 years ago with fifteen hundred calories and exercise. I am currently reading a book called body for life and it is excellent. Hope these…

Welcome, it is a great site and we are all here for one another. Good luck!

The little extras are helpful! I have a jar filled with marbles on my counter representing one marble for every pound I want to lose. When I lose a pound I take a marble out. It is just a good little reminder and fun to watch the jar go down. Good luck and hope you have a great day. Thanks for sharing :-)

You are doing fantastic. I have found for me the slower I lose the weight the longer it stays off. I can relate to wanting to hit a certain number by a certain date. For me it is my Birthday party that is planned in Vegas for next month. I won't be thin for it but I am trying to stay focused on the fact that this is a…

Congratulations on your success! I have been eyeing it too and so that is good news that it went down in price. Let us know how you like it. I have the polar watch and lost the sensor belt and just found it, but might still purchase the Bodymedia. Thanks for sharing and hope you have a great day! Patty :-)

I know how it is to be working and than to stay at home. I did exactly the same thing as you have done. When you aren't punching the clock it is so easy to put something off till later because you feel as though you have all the time in the world to get to it. Well for me it took gaining 10 more pounds to plunge me into…

I have heard of this happening and always wondered if it was really true. Please keep us posted on what happens with the increased calorie intake. Thanks for sharing.

You look fantastic! You have had to work incredibly hard. By the way why do you want to go below 99 pounds? You are already tiny!!

I do not like to drink water but have found that when I workout I drink a lot. I don't know what your workouts are like but it is pretty effortless for me to drink water when I exercise. Good luck :-)
