I'm definitely in! I'm going on a walking holiday soon for my birthday (counteracts the cake and beer :P) so plan to average about 10 miles a day for that then I'm doing c25k too so will be great to keep track of it all and keep accountable. I'm definitely in :P going to make my ticker now :D

I've just downloaded it. It has a great user interface, shame a lot of the workouts require a medicine ball which I don't have but I'm sure I'll find my way around it. Really looking forward to starting it as a supplement to doing C25K, hoping it will give me the bit extra I need to get off this plateau (I've just upped my…

It may not be in some respects, I don't claim to be a nutritionist/qualified to make those assumptions. Its just a lot cheaper and worked out less calories, sugar and fat content to the stuff I was craving/used to eat. For my macros and for me personally I felt it was a better not to mention a more financially viable…

Great tip :) I usually let them thaw a bit before taking the skin off with a knife but your way sounds easier. I'll do that :P

Agreed with eat all the food haha! I'm going to be 25 in a couple of weeks. My boyfriend is taking me for a weekend away to the Lake District on a hiking/spa break. I'll be showing off my new fitness seeing pretty mountains and treating myself with massages and spa type things rather than food. That being said when we get…

I do c25k through our nearest forest. I love running in woodland, and places other people aren't so noone is judging the fat girl sweating and wheasing away for 30 mins. I love how much more peaceful it is. My partner comes with me sometimes and walks beside (I didn't say I was a good/fast runner but I do ok for a big…

Ooh great ideas! I can't believe I have only just discovered it! I have tried loads of low fat ice cream options and never liked them...who knew it could be this fresh and simple! Tonight after my run I will add blueberries and strawberries too...I might try it without the yoghurt see if its as nice, I'm sure it will be.

I have had implanon for 3 years, about to get it redone. Its been hard to lose weight but when is it ever easy for anyone? I haven't attributed it to not losing weight faster. I find if I eat less and move more I tend to lose weight. Agreed with the calorie injection comment. Don't let it hold you back or use it as an…

What an amazing acomplishment. I'm hauling my *kitten* through c25k at the moment, I can't wait til I get to that stage and keep pushing myself furter and further. Great stuff! Keep up the good work!

I used to be a reluctant morning runner...I felt great once I had done it with just a small breakfast but after a month or so I became really anemic and was so lifeless and generally ill with no energy, my alarm would go off in the morning and I would lie there and cry. I put it down to burning off more calories than I was…

You can get the older Zumba DVDs really cheap now. I love them as you can make it as energetic or difficult as you like. I do Zumba DVDs at home with a bottle of water in each hand, does wonders without you initially noticing the extra weight.

no :)

The biggest success I have had with weight loss (healthily) was when I was doing c25k 3 times a week and doing and hour of Zumba on my days off. It was a fantastic combination and the weight just melted off me. I consistantly lost 2lbs every single week without fail until uni commitments took over and so did my stress…

Thank you :D Thats only about 30 mins from where I live and 5mins from where I work, that does sound really really fun! Thank you both for your responses, I have been looking for a tenis club or something like that but there doesn't seem to be anything but cricket and bowls clubs in my village and surrounding areas. There…

I'm 5'5''. I started at 169 but am now at 153. I would say I have a fairly large frame and have definitely become more muscular over the past year. Its a close call but I would say feeling fitter and knowing I wont be a sweating, wheasing mess by the time I get to a big flight of stairs is almost as good a feeling as…

Yeah I did think about whether it makes any difference...just like a calorie is a calorie debate, I was sure there was going to be a gram of sugar is a gram of sugar narrative evolving. The main thing I have found is that cutting out things with excess sugar in (processed or not) has actually helped me because it means I'm…

Ok so I'm on day 6 and sorry to say I have fallen off the wagon twice...once I had no idea about and the other was a complete low moment where the need for icecream overcame everything else. The first one, my boss made me coffee and put sugar in it which I didn't realise until I got to the bottom of the mug...gutted. I was…

you definitely will :) sounds like you've already made great progress. It has taken me a couple of months to get up to even this so to me its a big thing, I just suddenly realised everyone else replying was way more competent than me and my dodgy knees and spine could hope to be...now thinking I'll leave it a while before…

Amazing! You can definitely see the improvement! Keep up the good work :)

Yep. I'm a complete beginner and 3 miles 3 times a week is a killer for me so thought I would suggest somethig that would push my disgraceful fitness level, obviously I realise its not really a challenge to most...feel free to double it. Whatever gets you moving and keeps you moving I reckon. Everyone has to start…

Love it! Sometimes you need a visual reminder and comparison of how calorie dense things can actually be! Great post!

Wow good luck with that, I can't wait to get to a point where I can start doing races, been looking to do my first 5k in October maybe. At the moment I run around 8miles a week...shall we go for 40/50miles? I'm new at this so thats a lot for me, may not be for everyone else haha.
-
sounds good :) count me in! My first fitness/weight loss goal deadline is the end of August so it will definitely keep me motivated! I'm in week 3 of c25k so really up for seeing how far I can go and in what time :)

Woohoo! Its going to be difficult for me...I love orange squash and pepsi max but have been looking for an excuse to cut them out :D this will also give me the push I needed to making my own healthy milkshakes and icelollies (my friend bought me an icelolly maker for christmas as a joke but have always wanted to actually…

ooh...that sounds like a real real challenge. Ok...until 4.30pm (UK time) Thursday 25th July I will have no sugar for 7 days. I will try my very very best!

Its 82 here in Yorkshire...crazy hot for the North of England but very nice while it lasts! A bit warm to run in for me, so not used to either really, so the combination of the two is difficult at best!
-
Hey :) I've only been doing this a couple of weeks but I log everyday with an open diary and would love to build my support network on here. Feel free to add me anyone :)

Amazing :) I started at 168, just got into the 150s this week and my goal is 130 so you are truly an inspiration. Really great job. You should be so so proud of yourself!
