  • I think you can reset your target to maintain weight and it'll give you recommended a new calorie allowance. x
  • everyone goes over protein...for some reason it's set waaay too low. You'll be absolutely fine if you keep cals, fat and sodium down...oh and keep an eye on the carbs. If I were you I'd change the protein count to something more practical. I've got saturated fat on instead....much more useful!
  • really weird...i had that exact situation yesterday when I was helping my fiance... someone's put the wrong amount in that's all.
  • + 8.9g Saturated fat!!! +800mg Sodium!!! It does taste good though....
  • I hope I'm going to have my dream wedding in September... We've booked a palm house in a park (www.palmhouse.org.uk) and I'm wearing a 50's style tea length dress, as are my bridesmaids and my fiance will wear a tweed suit (if we can actually find a good one). My brother is a musician and he's singing and playing guitar as…
  • porridge! YUM! I but the Quaker Oats Honey and Almond flavour. They come in small packs of single portion sizes and you measure the milk by pouring into the empty pack. Microwave for 2 mins and it's done!
  • I quit smoking 6 years ago when my boyfriend at the time told me they made my breath smell bad. I went cold turkey, but it was the 3rd time I'd tried. Once I gave up for 2 years before starting again. Whatever happens, don't allow yourself one with a drink, or in social situations...that's how they creep back in. Sadly I…
  • I think it's becoming obvious that every woman is different. I definitely have intestinal traffic jams during my period but if you pee more it seems likely you retain water...
  • Figleaves.com do amazing swimwear...and undrwear...and nightwear... x
  • Yes...I've had to book an afternoon in to have equipment put in places I'd rather not! Apparently the sedation will make me really weird afterward and my fiance can't collect me so my dad is...just hoping I don't start describing the procedure to him :embarassed:
  • Thanks...that's sadly just the firstpart of the procedure :s I'll then be lucky enough to have a camera film my insides... I was told to book the appointment but just left the surgery in a panic so they had to call me up and tell me when it was. I'd do anything to get out of it but apparently I don't have much of a choice…
  • I had this problem 3 days into my diet! I decided to make a middle-eastern pick&mix of food so no one would notice if I ate slightly less. I made Babaganoush, Tzatziki, an Israeli salad, Shakshuka (mega easy and healthy...just google) and served it with freshly baked bread and some stuffed vine leaves I bought from my…
  • It's the only packet soup I've eaten to be honest. I make fresh soups semi regularly...I tend to steer clear of tins as well where possible. Much nicer to have fresh veg :) I'm a little sad about this soup fail though...easy and i liked the seaweed. I won't really have a chance to make it at home because my other half…
  • Sadly I have to have it in a couple of weeks as part of a procedure for IBS... I'm seriously not looking forward to it and am amazed at people who can go through with it unnecessarily. I'd be interested to know your thougts after the procedure...i'm petrified!
  • Sainsburys do all of them... x
  • oh yeah I forgot about the low fat halloumi...that's really nice too!
  • Be good to yourself do some nice mozerella and feta...can't tell they're low fat. Have you tried Lowlow cheddar? that's also quite good. I'm a cheese lover too... x
  • I've got a chicken dish in the over that smells awesome and I'm so excited to eat it haha. It's a chicken breast stuffed with a mixture of Philli light and low fat pesto, topped with a fat-less bacon medallion. Altogether 338cal and 15g fat
  • I make a similar dish using (mostly) this recipe...stunning! http://smittenkitchen.com/2010/04/shakshuka/

  • It's about 50grams, give or take. I hate the whole cup to gram thing...can't get my head around it at all! x
  • Chicken breast stuffed with low fat pesto and light phili, oven baked with a drizzle (teen tiny bit) of olive oil. Serve with some green veg and baked new potatoes, or sweet potato wedges etc x
  • He said not all the cramps were intestinal... ie that some were due to the menstruation process. He's one of the best gastro guys in UK...that's good enough for me! haha x
  • interestingly...i was discussing this was a gastroenterologist recently who explained that it isn't water retention but that food digests slower and fills up the intestines. nice! Anyway, that's the reason for the majority of 'period cramps' (although not all) and why bellies bloat and weight is gained.
  • http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/130577-you-asked-for-it-cauli-crust-pizza-pics I haven't tried these yet but they sound good. Pitta is a really good idea too!
  • There was a pizza recipe on here earlier that had a cauliflower base...sounds weird but looked lovely. I'll try and find the link... x
  • I'm in Cheshire so we get all our tap water from the Lake District and is soft and lovely. The sodium levels in bottled water put me off more than anything else...
  • I struggled for a little while to stay at 1200 but think i've got it sorted now. I can't snack though because I just feel deprived at the tiny meals i'm allowed if I do. Yesterday, as an example... B - Special K with Red Berries + Skimmed Milk + Banana L - lemon coriander packet Couscous with low fat feta, cucumber,…
  • I think you may be right. Although I hardly have enough calories for my meals i think he should definitely take up snacks. How on earth has he put on weight with such a massive calorie recommendation??? I'm not sure I could eat that many every day if I tried!
  • I have to worry about him because I want him to succeed. Plus we both keep getting bigger and bigger so without supporting one another we know where it leads. We' rejust trying to educate ourselves a little so we can sustain healthy weight loss.
